General Summary:
Qualcomm Government Technologies (QGOV) is seeking a Senior Director of Product Management to lead the product management and technology roadmap of our 3GPP connectivity portfolio for government and defense applications. This role is pivotal in shaping our product and technology strategy - from concept and definition through delivery and end-of-life - ensuring alignment across our commercial and consumer roadmaps as well as mission-critical government applications.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
· Lead the development of connectivity product and technology strategies for government and defense applications by aligning Qualcomm’s product and technology roadmaps with mission-specific needs
· Deliver high-impact, technically complex presentations to customers that articulate product roadmaps and capabilities; and incorporate customer feedback and requirements into QGOV product planning
· Define and manage requirements and interdependencies across all modem products and technology areas for government use cases; drive execution across Engineering, Product Management (PM), Product Development Management (PdM), and Business Development (BD) teams
· Collaborate with stakeholders and program sponsors to establish product goals (e.g., performance, cost, timeline, customer schedules), assess feasibility, and guide cross-functional decision-making
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
• 10+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Deep technical expertise in Qualcomm modem software architecture
· Proven experience directing modem software releases and customer deliverables
· Strong understanding of 3GPP specifications and ecosystem certification processes (e.g., PTCRB, GCF).
· 20+ years of experience in modem engineering, including 10+ years in leadership roles
Level of Responsibility:
· Works independently with no supervision
· Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills and sound decision-making in dynamic or ambiguous environments
· Communicates complex and detailed information effectively to diverse audiences, including executives, partners, and technical teams; strong negotiation and influence skills are often required
· Contributes to financial planning and decision-making (e.g., provides input into P&L)
· Manages tasks involving multiple steps and cognitive demands, often requiring simultaneous attention to short- and long-term priorities
· Collaborates effectively across technical and non-technical teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment
