Mimecast is seeking a Senior Director of Solutions Marketing to shape and communicate its unique value proposition in cybersecurity. This strategic role involves building clear, differentiated platform and ecosystem messaging, emphasizing Human Risk Management within enterprise security. The director will elevate Mimecast’s market presence, drive strategic initiatives, and enable global go-to-market teams by developing compelling messaging, creating enablement tools, acting as a spokesperson, generating high-impact content, and leading GTM strategies.

Must Have:

Develop and deliver compelling, differentiated messaging and positioning for Mimecast’s platform.
Create and deliver enablement tools, training, and resources to empower sales, partners, and customer success teams.
Act as a Mimecast spokesperson and subject matter expert at industry events, webinars, and in the media.
Lead the creation of high-impact content including solution briefs, case studies, presentations, and multi-media assets.
Partner closely with Product, Sales, and Marketing to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, spanning product marketing, solutions marketing, or solutions engineering roles.
Proven ability to distill technical solutions into clear, audience-specific messaging for stakeholders.
Deep knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape, including how multiple market areas intersect.
Demonstrated experience presenting at customer-focused events, industry conferences, and to internal and external audiences.
Strategic thinker with a track record of building and executing innovative marketing programs.
Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Mimecast is seeking a Senior Director of Solutions Marketing reporting to the VP, Product Marketing, who will play a pivotal role in shaping and communicating our unique value proposition as a leader in cybersecurity. This highly visible and strategic role will require you to be innovative and creative in building clear, differentiated platform and ecosystem messaging—emphasizing how Human Risk Management integrates into the broader security infrastructure of enterprises. You will be instrumental in elevating Mimecast’s market presence, driving strategic initiatives, and enabling Mimecast’s global go-to-market teams.

What You’ll Do:

Messaging & Positioning:
Develop and deliver compelling, differentiated messaging and positioning for Mimecast’s platform, with a focus on Human Risk Management as a critical component of enterprise security.
Translate complex technical capabilities into benefits for audiences ranging from C-level executives to security practitioners.

Enablement:
Create and deliver enablement tools, training, and resources to empower sales, partners, and customer success teams.
Ensure consistent, effective communication of solution value across all touchpoints.

Thought Leadership & Evangelism:
Act as a Mimecast spokesperson and subject matter expert at industry events, webinars, and in the media.
Drive thought leadership initiatives, including blogs, whitepapers, and public speaking engagements to elevate Mimecast’s leadership in Human Risk Management and integrated security.

Content Generation:
Lead the creation of high-impact content including solution briefs, case studies, presentations, and multi-media assets to support the full customer journey.
Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Customer Marketing teams to ensure alignment and consistency.

Go-to-Market (GTM) Leadership:
Partner closely with Product, Sales, and Marketing to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for Mimecast’s platform and ecosystem.
Leverage market insights and customer feedback to continuously refine and enhance Mimecast’s solution offerings.

What You’ll Bring:

15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, spanning product marketing, solutions marketing, or solutions engineering roles.
Proven ability to distill technical solutions into clear, audience-specific messaging for stakeholders ranging from C-level executives to technical practitioners.
Deep knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape, including how multiple market areas intersect (e.g., email security, identity, threat intelligence, cloud security) and the integrations required for enterprise-class protection.
Demonstrated experience presenting at customer-focused events, industry conferences, and to internal and external audiences of all levels.
Strategic thinker with a track record of building and executing innovative marketing programs that drive awareness, demand, and market leadership.
Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
Passion for innovation and a growth mindset, with an eagerness to drive Mimecast’s mission forward in a rapidly evolving threat landscape.

The base salary range for this position is $184,000−$276,000 plus benefits. This range represents the minimum and maximum new hire compensation for this role. The position may also be eligible for incentive plans and additional benefits, in accordance with company policy and local regulations. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location with individual compensation also dependent on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills. Final offers will reflect these considerations and may vary accordingly.
