Job Description

As the Senior Director, Americas Technical Advisory at Autodesk, you will report to the VP of Technical Advisory and will head up Technical Consulting Delivery for our enterprise and strategic customers within the Americas region. You will lead a large team chartered to drive transformational and implementation services that foster strong customer relationships and ensure successful Autodesk solution adoption.
Must have:
  • Lead a team of 100+ employees for Consulting Delivery, ensuring customer success and adoption.
  • Develop and execute regional strategic plans to meet organizational objectives.
  • Define strategic regional Consulting Delivery requirements and build capacity plans.
  • Accountable for annual regional revenue >$50M, bookings >$80M, and Autodesk solution adoption.
  • Engage senior customer executives to demonstrate thought leadership and co-create strategic plans.
  • Partner with Americas Sales leadership for successful service sales and delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for positive customer experience and value delivery.
  • Facilitate internal collaboration to accelerate identification and pursuit of expansion opportunities.
  • Coach teams to connect work to business outcomes and drive growth opportunities.
  • Establish clear workplans to anticipate risks, deliver on time, and surface new growth.
  • Attract, hire, and retain elite consultants, fostering career development and global collaboration.
  • Instill and champion company culture and values, ensuring alignment with standards.
  • Conduct performance reviews, develop career advancement plans, and implement succession planning.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives and drive process improvements for service delivery efficiency.
  • Monitor business success metrics, evaluate performance, and provide executive reporting.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and delivery risks for consistent service quality.
  • Minimum of 15+ years’ experience in leading customer-facing organizations.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in team leadership, budget, and resource optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, improve profitability, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, manage, and motivate high-performing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry needs of Autodesk customers.
  • Comprehensive understanding of consulting metrics and KPIs, with data analysis skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset with ability to deliver superior customer experiences and foster relationships.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% per year.

Position overview

As the Senior Director, Americas Technical Advisory at Autodesk, you will report to the VP of Technical Advisory and will head up Technical Consulting Delivery for our enterprise and strategic customers within the Americas region. You will lead a large team chartered to drive transformational and implementation services that foster strong customer relationships and ensure successful Autodesk solution adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 100+ employees responsible for Consulting Delivery, and contribute to overall customer success and adoption
  • Develop and execute against regional strategic plans that ensure the local Consulting Delivery team meets organizational objectives
  • Identify and define the strategic regional Consulting Delivery requirements (service lines and roles), and build capacity plans to meet these local needs
  • Be accountable for delivering an annual regional revenue of >$50M, a bookings target of >$80M, and successful adoption of Autodesk solutions
  • Engage with senior customer executives to demonstrate Autodesk thought leadership, cocreate strategic plans, and drive mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Partner with Americas Sales leadership to ensure the successful sale and delivery of services and provide high-level consultation in support of sales opportunities where appropriate
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional, customer-facing teams to ensure positive customer experience and value delivery
  • Facilitate cross-functional internal collaboration with Sales, Success, and Consulting peers to accelerate the identification and pursuit of expansion opportunities
  • Coach teams to connect their work to business outcomes and drive growth opportunities
  • Establish clear workplans to help teams anticipate risks, deliver on time, and surface new growth opportunities
  • Attract, hire, and retain an elite group of consultants, and foster career development, global collaboration, and high standards to maintain a world-class practice

  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments to ensure consulting services remain competitive and aligned with customer needs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15+ years’ experience in leading customer-facing organizations
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business Administration or a related field

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $187,800 and $303,710. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
