The Senior Executive Producer of Market Day Coverage will take on a key leadership role at Yahoo Finance to spearhead our most crucial coverage across multiple streaming and podcast platforms, Yahoo Finance’s front page, YouTube, and social channels. You will be shaping the future of Yahoo Finance video content, driving business impact, and leading creative teams to deliver high-impact stories.
We’re looking for someone with deep expertise in investing and business, backed by a robust Rolodex of industry contacts, who can translate their strategic vision into dynamic, engaging segments and live shows. You'll need to seamlessly convey your ideas to producers, driving content that informs and captivates our audience across platforms. This role is critical to building our Market Day content — both streaming and VOD — using SEO, data, and distribution expertise to keep Yahoo Finance ahead in the fast-paced world of financial news.
About This Role:
Reporting directly to the Head of Video, you will be responsible for setting the standards of excellence for video programming and live coverage. You’ll lead a team of talented editors and producers, collaborate with senior directors, and plan execution strategies that resonate with diverse audiences across platforms. What You’ll Do:
Lead a creative team to pitch, produce, and edit original and re-edited content for various channels, focusing on top trending topics that matter to our audience.
The right candidate will manage a team 30, including Executive Producers, Senior Producers, Bookers, on-air anchors, and reporters. You will cross-collaborate across the video ecosystem. Your success depends on your ability to communicate your ideas.
Partner with the Senior Director of Programming to drive an SEO-first strategy that maximizes reach and engagement across Yahoo Finance platforms.
Innovate content creation processes to set new standards for producing, distributing, and consuming financial news.
Build repeatable, scalable segments that freshen our live day programming and VOD offerings.
Manage the day-to-day budget and operations of the project
Develop and manage timelines
Deep cross-collaboration and planning with studio, text, podcasts, marketing, data, and sales teams.
This person looks beyond daily tasks, sees the big picture, and applies company strategies with a 360° view of projects, making impactful recommendations when needed.

Qualifications:
Requirement of working onsite in our NYC office
We are looking for Executive producers with 15+ years of leadership, producing, and programming experience within a major news media outlet, digital media outlet preferred
Previous experience in a leadership role is a must
Refined Knowledge of current SEO practices and techniques
Hands-on experience with CMS and digital publishing tools
Proven track record producing and optimizing video for digital platforms, including O&O and OTT
Ability to work well with others in a highly collaborative environment
Excellent time management skills and ability to balance priorities, multiple projects, and tasks with ease

The compensation for this position ranges from $110,625.00 - $230,625.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
