Senior Field Applications Engineer

Description

• Take ownership of driving design wins in assigned Key Accounts.  
• Develop a deep understanding of assigned customer's R&D organization, fostering strong relationships with key R&D, test, and technical teams to capitalize on design-in opportunities. 
• Organize and conduct customer visits, delivering technical product presentations, demonstrations, and deploying value propositions effectively. 
• Proactively monitor and support the customer project design process from inception to design win, ensuring regular updates on project progress and timely response to project changes and customer requests. 
• Foster strong relationships with sales and marketing team members and customers to support sales team objectives effectively. 
• Analyze customer and competitive insights to enhance product definition and roadmaps. 
• Project-manage design-in campaigns for assigned customers, ensuring early involvement in the customer’s technology roadmap and timely information flow to all relevant parties within the business groups and customer base. 
• Evaluate sales opportunities based on customer technical requirements, establishing Power Integrations' value proposition and competitive positioning. 
• Assess the value of our products compared to competitors and quantify the technical benefits of choosing Power Integrations. 
• Oversee the block diagram process to ensure the broader technical team understands full system requirements. 
• Independently address most customer technical issues and conduct preliminary analyses of complex technical issues, collaborating with Application Engineers for further solutions. 
• Analyze customer's technical objectives using relevant data gathering techniques, enabling the sales team to be more predictive, effective, and responsive to customer needs. 

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of three years of practical experience in AC-DC, with expertise in various topologies such as flyback, buck, buck-boost, PFC, and LLC within the power electronics sector.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in HW design engineering, system engineering, and field application engineering.
• Strong communication and presentation skills are essential to effectively engage with relevant stakeholders.
• Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Fluency in both spoken and written English and Mandarin is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel frequently is expected as part of the role
