Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

The Geneva Web Team, part of Geneva Product Development at SS&C, is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer. This role involves modernizing the Geneva UI, API, and middleware tiers. You will participate in the full development life cycle, including sprint planning, collaborating with product managers on requirements, defining architecture with lead engineers, implementing key modules, and validating software functionality with the QA team. The team values simplicity in design, open communication, and delivering high-quality, modern solutions.

Must Have

• Participate in the full development life cycle.
• Engage in sprint planning.
• Collaborate with product managers to define and analyze requirements.
• Work with architects and lead engineers to define architecture.
• Implement key modules according to development guidelines.
• Collaborate with the QA team to validate software functionality.
• 7+ years of development experience.
• 4+ years of backend development with Java.
• 2+ years of UI development with TypeScript & React.
• Deep understanding of Spring Framework.
• Experience implementing REST APIs.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong computer science fundamentals.
• Deep understanding of asynchronous/non-blocking architectures and multithreading.
• In-depth understanding of software architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.

Good to Have

• Familiarity with messaging systems.
• Good understanding of containers and container orchestration.
• Knowledge of latest software industry trends and technologies.

• Deep understanding of the Spring Framework.

• Experience with and deep understanding of relational database systems and NoSQL databases.
• Strong computer science fundamentals: Data Structures, Design Patterns, Networks and Operating Systems.
• Deep understanding of asynchronous/non-blocking architectures and multithreading.
• In-depth understanding of software architecture.

Highly Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with messaging systems.
• Good understanding of containers and container orchestration.
