Triband is seeking an experienced Senior Gameplay Programmer to join a small, tight-knit team for a new, unannounced project. The role involves designing and implementing new game mechanics, prototyping ideas in Unity, and ensuring code is bug-free. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, taking ownership and contributing to a positive culture, with a focus on making players laugh.
Must have:
  • Design and implement new gameplay mechanics and ideas with the team
  • Prototype new ideas in small sprints
  • Make new features and gameplay mechanics
  • Keep new and existing code and content bug-free
  • Develop and help ship new content updates
  • Comfortable prototyping ideas, throwing things out, or iterating on them
  • Proficiency in C# and a deep knowledge of the Unity engine and editor
  • 4+ years of experience and having shipped games as part of a team
  • Thrive in taking ownership of your area: spot problems, seek advice, and implement creative solutions
  • Motivated by collaboration, mutual respect, inclusiveness, and creativity
  • Value a positive work environment and contribute to making the studio a fun and supportive place
  • Team production experiences, such as using version control software (we use git), branching, stand-ups, sprints, and reviews

Triband is the award-winning studio behind the WHAT THE? comedy game series, which is played by millions worldwide. From our home in central Copenhagen, more than 45 wonderful humans are united by a simple mission: to make everyone laugh.

We're starting a brand-new, unannounced project and looking for an experienced Gameplay Programmer to join the adventure.

How you will work

You will be part of a small, tight-knit team, working closely with other game designers and gameplay programmers to explore and implement new game mechanics and shape and share game design through bold ideas, playful prototypes, clear goals, and inspiring visions. 🐴

We all work in Unity, with every team member hands-on in the editor.

Main responsibilities

  • Design and implement new gameplay mechanics and ideas with the team
  • Prototype new ideas in small sprints
  • Make new features and gameplay mechanics
  • Keep new and existing code and content bug-free
  • Develop and help ship new content updates
  • Bonus: Silly physics, bad jokes, stupid ideas, failed prototypes, and lots of laughs.
