The Senior Key Account Manager (Pharmacy Channel) is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key pharmacy chains to drive sales growth and achieve business objectives. This role involves managing a portfolio of high-value clients, ensuring their needs are met, and identifying opportunities for mutual growth. The Senior Key Account Manager will work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions, optimize product distribution, and enhance brand visibility within the store.
Must have:
  • Collaborate with the Key Account Lead to define and align with the customer strategy and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, representing Haleon in all customer relations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and consumer behavior to guide the clients’ strategy.
  • Oversee customer assortment and manage customer forecasts, both in terms of volume and value.
  • Hold full P&L responsibility for assigned customers, ensuring alignment with KPIs and targets.
  • Conduct ongoing business reviews, analyze and monitor market data and insights.
  • Negotiate contracts, commercial terms and marketing plan agreements.
  • Regularly visit key stores to gather insights from healthcare professionals (HCPs).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
  • Proficiency in German, English, and French.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Key Account Manager or Sales Manager.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.

The Senior Key Account Manager will work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions, optimize product distribution, and enhance brand visibility within the store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Key Account Lead to define and align with the customer strategy and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring the most effective and optimal methods for achievement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, representing Haleon in all customer relations, and managing daily business interactions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and consumer behavior to guide the clients’ strategy.
  • Oversee customer assortment and manage customer forecasts, both in terms of volume and value, for baseline and promotional business activities.
  • Hold full P&L responsibility for assigned customers, ensuring alignment with KPIs and targets agreed upon with the Finance and Commercial Excellence departments.
  • Conduct ongoing business reviews, analyze and monitor market data and insights, and proactively share and leverage opportunities to bridge sales gaps or capitalize on new growth opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts, commercial terms and marketing plan agreements.
  • Regularly visit key stores to gather insights from healthcare professionals (HCPs) to secure better deals, identify new opportunities, and drive further growth.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
  • Proficiency in German, English, and French, with fluent language skills in all three.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Key Account Manager or Sales Manager, preferably within the pharmaceutical or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
