How we LEAD:

We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Fan Engagement (Urban) on our viral marketing team. The Senior Manager will be responsible for developing and managing fan accounts and official artist "HQ" accounts across Capitol Music Group’s (Capitol Records, Motown, Priority) urban roster. This role requires a deep understanding of social media trends, community engagement, and content creation tailored to the unique culture of urban music fans. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and growing fan or genre accounts with significant followings and engagement.

How you’ll CREATE

  • Fan Account Development: Create and manage fan accounts for artists and genres on Twitter/X, TikTok, and Instagram.
  • Official HQ Accounts: Develop and oversee official artist "HQ" accounts, ensuring consistent and engaging content that aligns with the artist's brand and voice.
  • Genre & Sub-culture Engagement: Build and maintain social media accounts focused on specific sub genres, collections of artists, memes, and short-form subcultures driving engagement and fostering community.
  • Community Engagement: Analyze existing artist fan communities and fan lore to develop content strategies that resonate with fans and encourage engagement.
  • Content Creation: Develop and manage pipelines to maintain a steady flow of engaging content.
  • Network Building: Recruit and coordinate with freelancers and dedicated fans to further amplify reach within fan communities.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the performance of social media accounts, using insights to refine strategies and improve engagement metrics.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on trends, tools, and best practices.

  • Experience: Proven experience in building and managing artist fan accounts or genre-specific accounts with large followings (hundreds of thousands of followers) and high engagement (millions of views).
  • Skills: Strong understanding of social media platforms (Twitter, TikTok, Instagram) and their respective algorithms and analytics tools.
  • Creativity: Ability to create compelling, shareable content that resonates with urban music fans.
  • Community Insight: Deep knowledge of urban culture, fan communities, and current trends.
  • Analytical Ability: Proficiency in analyzing social media metrics and adjusting strategies accordingly.
  • Networking: Experience in building and maintaining networks of freelancers and fans to enhance content reach and engagement.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
