Job Description

As a Senior Manager, New Business Development at FTSE Russell, you will drive growth in the Americas Index Sales organization, focusing on product licensing and asset-based fees within the wealth segment. This role involves cultivating relationships with ETF sponsors, wealth management firms, and model portfolio providers. You will educate clients on market-leading index methodologies, expand adoption of indexed investing, and serve as a subject matter expert. Key responsibilities include managing client relationships, expanding index usage, leading education initiatives, collaborating internally, and pitching new investment ideas for index-linked products.

Must Have:
  • Manage and deepen day-to-day relationships with ETF sponsors, wealth management home offices, model portfolio providers and other strategic partners.
  • Expand the usage and adoption of FTSE Russell indexes across ETFs and ETPs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on FTSE Russell index methodologies.
  • Lead client education initiatives through presentations, thought leadership and strategic content delivery tailored to investment professionals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on market research, product positioning, sales strategy and execution.
  • Respond to detailed client inquiries regarding index methodologies.
  • Pitch new investment ideas for index-linked products across our full suite of FTSE Russell indexes.
  • Engage collaboratively and strategically with clients on their key investment objectives and position our indexes to meet those needs.
  • 10-15 years of experience in the financial services industry with a focus on ETFs, SMAs, indexing and wealth management.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a Finance, Economics or Engineering related field.

Indexed Investing – Wealth Specialist

As a key member of FTSE Russell’s Americas Index Sales organization, you will lead initiatives that drive growth across in FTSE Russell’s product licensing and asset based fee business in the wealth segment. This high visibility role focuses on cultivating and expanding relationships with all parts of the wealth ecosystem including ETF sponsors, professional ETF allocators like wealth management firms and model portfolio providers across various channels. You will be responsible for educating clients on our market-leading index methodologies and expanding adoption of indexed investing in various product wrappers.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deepen day-to-day relationships with ETF sponsors, wealth management home offices, model portfolio providers and other strategic partners.
  • Expand the usage and adoption of FTSE Russell indexes across ETFs and ETPs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on FTSE Russell index methodologies.
  • Lead client education initiatives through presentations, thought leadership and strategic content delivery tailored to investment professionals (e.g., CIOs, product creators, asset allocation teams).
  • Collaborate with internal teams on market research, product positioning, sales strategy and execution.
  • Respond to detailed client inquiries regarding index methodologies.
  • Pitch new investment ideas for index-linked products across our full suite of FTSE Russell indexes including factors, thematic, sustainable, crypto, real-estate, infrastructure and private asset solutions
  • Engage collaboratively and strategically with clients on their key investment objectives and position our indexes to meet those needs

Skills, Requirements & Competencies

  • 10-15 years of experience in the financial services industry with a focus on ETFs, SMAs, indexing and wealth management.
  • Deep understanding of the ETF and SMA product landscape and competitive positioning.
  • Understanding of benchmarks and how they fit into the investment process, particularly within Asset Management and Wealth Management
  • Proven experience in sales and relationship management, ideally in index sales, wholesaling and / or other investment related business development roles
  • Established relationships amongst passive issuers preferred
  • Experience either working for or selling to US asset managers and / or wealth managers
  • Deep knowledge of investment products, processes and the trends of the global investment industry including ETF usage, product development, and wealth / retirement planning
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a global organization.
  • Superior communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with a client-centric mindset.
  • Motivated by and able to thrive in a targeted sales environment and comfortable in a constantly evolving organization.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a Finance, Economics or Engineering related field
  • MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce proficiency is a must

Compensation/Benefits Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $133,100 - $221,900.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Variable Incentive Compensation plan. Target variable compensation will be commensurate with the posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
