Job Description

The Senior Marketing Manager will join the Product & Solutions Marketing team at Springer Nature, focusing on launching innovative products and driving growth through lead generation. This role involves developing and implementing dynamic omni-channel marketing campaigns for B2B, Institutional, and Clinical markets, creating engaging content, and optimizing customer journeys. Responsibilities include strategic budget allocation, performance analysis, new feature introductions, and cross-departmental stakeholder management to maximize product visibility and market penetration.

Purpose of the Role

The Product & Solutions Marketing team is dedicated to launching innovative products and driving growth through lead generation to support sales goals. Collaborating with colleagues across Strategy, Planning, Operations, Product and Sales, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering effective and efficient tactical marketing plans and customer journeys to drive growth for existing solutions by using engaging content and customer insights.

You'll be responsible for developing and implementing dynamic marketing campaigns to promote our Products & Solutions, generating demand, and creating awareness in the market, both with the purchasers and the users of our products.

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Collect required input from Marketing Strategy, Product Team, Sales Teams, and other relevant business units.
  • Craft an omni-channel marketing plan for B2B, Institutional and Clinical markets, integrating online and offline channels, tailored to audience preferences, achieving overarching marketing objectives.
  • Strategically allocate marketing budget to minimize cost per acquisition (CPA) and optimize spending across channels.
  • Create customer journeys, use compelling content and oversee the execution of marketing plans, and the implementation of multi-tactic marketing campaigns for the assigned portfolio responsibilities to raise and increase product awareness, generate and nurture leads and retain customers.
  • Develop a customer centric approach, identifying key market segments and creating customer profiles to best target clients.
  • Develop comprehensive evaluation reports by analysing campaign performance data against benchmarks to optimize future campaigns’ reach, engagement, and conversions.
  • Create plans for the successful introduction of new features into the market to maximize product visibility and market penetration.
  • Effectively manage cross-departmental stakeholders, fostering collaboration through transparent communication, frequent updates, and shared insights. Act as a liaison between marketing/product/sales and operations teams, ensuring timely delivery on project requirements with an eye to automate and/or drive efficiency.
  • Thrive to be an expert on product features, advantages and benefits, customer base and user journey mapping.
