The Senior Operational Program Manager of Information Security Engineering will guide collaborative, cross-organizational programs to enhance the security posture of employee-facing applications. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Information Security Engineering, this role involves strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and driving programs to meet high security and user trust standards. The position is remote anywhere in Canada, focusing on achieving successful outcomes and aligning security objectives with business goals.
Good To Have:
  • Experience using tooling to scale programs and solutions (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Generative AI tools).
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.
  • Certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, or similar.
  • Security certifications.
Must Have:
  • Develop and maintain program strategies, roadmaps, and rhythms for security objectives.
  • Prioritize Trust initiatives balancing security needs with overall business strategy and user experience.
  • Establish clear delivery plans and align cross-organization initiatives through outcome-driven planning.
  • Manage dependencies and remove impediments for program delivery.
  • Develop holistic communication plans for status updates and program health.
  • Facilitate fact-based, data-driven decision-making with domain expertise.
  • Engage stakeholders for feedback and identify program improvement areas.
  • 7+ years of program management experience in software/technology, with 4+ years in security.
  • Strong functional understanding of Information Security concepts and technologies.
  • Experience managing diverse company stakeholders, including technical teams, business leaders, product managers, and designers.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence and drive consensus.
  • Experience briefing executives and various levels of leaders.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within scope.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating and reporting program health and driving initiatives.

Position Overview

The Senior Operational Program Manager of Information Security Engineering will help our management teams deliver our vision by guiding collaborative, cross-organizational programs. The Information Security Engineering team focuses on the security posture of our employee-facing applications. This individual will report directly to the Sr. Director of Information Security Engineering and should be passionate about helping teams identify and achieve successful outcomes. The role requires a strategic thinker who can work cross-functionally to drive programs to meet the highest standards of security and user trust. This role is remote anywhere in Canada. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences, including those who’ve gained relevant skills through non-traditional paths.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy and Roadmap Development: Help develop and maintain program strategies, roadmaps, and rhythms in support of security objectives. Ensuring alignment with overall business goals and Trust standards
  • Prioritization and Planning: Engage with Trust, Information Security, Engineering, and other program managers to prioritize Trust initiatives while balancing security needs with overall strategy and user experience.
  • Delivery: Work with Information Security Engineering leadership to establish clear delivery plans based on strategies. Create alignment on cross-organization initiatives through outcome-driven planning, dependency management, and impediment removal
  • Communications: Develop holistic communications plans for delivering status communications and updates in a scalable way that minimizes friction. Support the communication of program health, initiatives, and achievements to teams and divisional leadership
  • Facilitation: Facilitate fact-based, data-driven decision-making with the appropriate domain expertise and program owners
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and identify areas of program improvement. Bring results to program leaders in an actionable manner

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in a program manager capacity in the software or technology field, with 4+ years involving a focus on security
  • Strong functional understanding of Information Security concepts and technologies.
  • Experience managing different company stakeholders, from technical teams to business leaders, product managers and designers
  • Demonstrated superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive consensus across diverse stakeholders. Experience in briefing executives and various levels of leaders
  • Proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within scope
  • Demonstrated experience communicating and reporting program health, driving initiatives, and facilitating the delivery of on-time results

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using tooling to scale programs and solutions (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Generative AI tools, etc.)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment
  • Certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, or similar
  • Security certifications are big plus
