Job Description

The Senior Operations Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Product and Operations Finance team by providing in-depth financial modeling, cost management analysis, and risk assessment to enable data-driven decision-making. This position requires strong expertise in product cost management, non-conformance cost (NCC) tracking, and risk management within a complex global operations environment. The analyst will partner closely with Product, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance leadership to drive financial transparency, identify cost efficiencies, and mitigate operational and financial risks.
Must Have:
  • Lead financial modeling to support product costing, margin analysis, and operational planning.
  • Own and enhance the tracking, reporting, and forecasting of non-conformance costs (NCC).
  • Partner with operations and supply chain leaders to drive cost reduction initiatives.
  • Conduct risk assessments on manufacturing, supply chain, and financial operations.
  • Develop forward-looking financial models and scenario analyses.
  • Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting cycles, including variance analysis.
  • Build and automate reporting tools, dashboards, and analysis for product costs and NCC.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement).
  • Provide executive-level presentations and insights to senior leadership.
  • Support the creation of new product business cases and program forecasting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in product or operations finance.
  • Strong background in product cost management, operational finance, and manufacturing economics.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and reporting non-conformance costs.
  • Advanced financial modeling, scenario planning, and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles.
  • High proficiency in Excel and financial planning/ERP tools (SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment.

Position Summary

The Senior Operations Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Product and Operations Finance team by providing in-depth financial modeling, cost management analysis, and risk assessment to enable data-driven decision-making. This position requires strong expertise in product cost management, non-conformance cost (NCC) tracking, and risk management within a complex global operations environment. The analyst will partner closely with Product, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance leadership to drive financial transparency, identify cost efficiencies, and mitigate operational and financial risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial modeling to support product costing, margin analysis, and operational planning.
  • Own and enhance the tracking, reporting, and forecasting of non-conformance costs (NCC) for various product components, ensuring visibility and management accountability.
  • Partner with operations and supply chain leaders to drive cost reduction initiatives, product cost variance analysis, and root cause identification.
  • Conduct risk assessments on manufacturing, supply chain, and financial operations—providing mitigation recommendations to leadership.
  • Develop forward-looking financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of operational and product strategy decisions.
  • Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting cycles, including variance analysis, forecasting, and risk/opportunity reporting.
  • Build and automate reporting tools, dashboards, and analysis to improve visibility into product costs and NCC.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement) to align financial insights with business priorities.
  • Provide executive-level presentations and insights to senior leadership, connecting operational drivers to financial outcomes.
  • Support the creation of new product business cases through collaboration with key stakeholders while validating key financial assumptions provided by data owners.
  • Drive accuracy in product development program forecasting through data driven analysis and data transparency to the program managers.
  • Support annual budget cycle for both labor and non-labor spend as it relates to the product development programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in product or operations finance.
  • Strong background in product cost management, operational finance, and manufacturing economics.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and reporting non-conformance costs and driving corrective action processes.
  • Advanced financial modeling, scenario planning, and analytical skills with proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles within operational and financial environments.
  • High proficiency in Excel and financial planning/ERP tools (SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills, with a track record of influencing non-finance leaders.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment while managing multiple priorities.
