Job Description

Archetype Entertainment is seeking a Senior Producer to lead multi-disciplinary teams on AAA game development projects. This role involves collaborating with various departments, executing production plans, and driving the game to launch. The Senior Producer will manage Gameplay, UI/UX, and RPG pillar producers, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and clear goals. They will also be responsible for roadmap development, dependency management, and fostering a strong production culture.
Must Have:
  • Manage Gameplay, UI/UX, and RPG pillar producers.
  • Accountable for quality and timely delivery of Gameplay, RPG & UI Features & Systems.
  • Develop and maintain roadmaps, deadlines, and phase approvals for features.
  • Ensure teams are supported and work is accurately represented in Jira.
  • Drive cross-pillar communication and leadership coordination.
  • Set standards for Production excellence and effective tradeoffs.
  • Prioritize work effectively and keep the team focused on high-impact initiatives.
  • 6+ years as a mid-level or higher Producer in video games.
  • At least 3 years in a management capacity.
  • At least 2 shipped games, including 1 shipped AAA title in the last 5 years.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams and driving alignment.
  • High Production standards and deep understanding of development processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in Jira (reporting, dashboard), Excel and Confluence.
  • Outcome-focused approach and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must be onsite at our studio in Austin, TX!

Archetype Entertainment is a new game studio in Austin, Texas led by industry veterans from BioWare and other AAA studios. Archetype is a division of Wizards of the Coast (Hasbro). We are seeking a Senior Producer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with multiple departments to execute production plans, championing a strong production culture, and driving our first game to launch. The ideal candidate is a leader of multi-disciplinary teams on large, AAA game development projects who promotes collaboration and builds trust with leadership and developers alike.

What you’ll do

  • Manage the Gameplay, UI/UX, and RPG pillar producers
  • Accountable for the quality bar and delivery of all Gameplay, RPG & UI Features & Systems on time
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the roadmap, deadlines and phase approvals for Features
  • Ensure all teams in their Pillar are supported, their goals are clear and work is accurately represented in Jira
  • Understand team capabilities and velocity; consistently works to improve and push for excellence in deliverables and reviews
  • Drive cross-pillar communication, leadership coordination and dependency management to ensure teams are always on the same page
  • Set a standard for Production excellence in owning their Pillar's outcomes, proactive thinking, making effective tradeoffs, and leading with integrity and care
  • Prioritize work effectively and helps the rest of the team do so as well; has the ability to understand urgency and keep the team focused on high-impact initiatives

What you’ll bring

  • 6+ years as a mid-level or higher Producer in video games
  • At least 3 years in a management capacity
  • At least 2 shipped games, including 1 shipped AAA title in the last 5 years
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and driving alignment across pillars
  • High Production standards, deep understanding of development processes and best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in Jira (reporting, dashboard), Excel and Confluence

The base salary range for this position is $122,300.00 to $217,300.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
