Job Description

LSEG is seeking a Senior Project Manager for FTSE Russell's Sustainable Investment and Benchmark and Index Management team. This role involves leading complex, large-scale projects, ensuring high-quality solutions for global clients. The manager will be responsible for project artifacts, budget control, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication, collaborating with business and engineering teams to adhere to LSEG Group Standards and the Change Framework.
Must have:
  • Be responsible for the development of project artifacts, project and resource plans, ensuring they are prioritized.
  • Control project spend to stay within budget, including maintaining detailed, accurate, cost forecast.
  • Proactively work to identify and minimise risks, issues and dependencies which may jeopardise project success.
  • Partner with project sponsors/collaborators to define project objectives and success criteria, showcase achievements, and develop status reports.
  • Engage with Engineering leads to understand their teams’ requirements, challenges, estimates of effort and agree approaches.
  • Ensure projects adhere to LSEG Group Standards for project methodology, governance, and risk management inline with the LSEG Change Framework.
  • Significant experience as a project/program manager in technology and/or financial services industries.
  • Capable of quickly grasp technical and business concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, ability to interact at all levels of the organization (including C-level) and tailor communications appropriately.
  • Independent self-starter who can manage multiple projects with contending priorities.
  • Eagerness to recommend and action improvement to processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and advanced skills in Excel are a must.

  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent

Job Details

We are looking for a Project Manager to join FTSE Russell! The role sits within the Sustainable Investment and Benchmark and Index Management team where you will have opportunity to lead projects encompassing a variety of systems, stakeholders and asset classes.

You will lead project and programmes, within complex, large-scale and/or high-risk projects. Working with an established team of some of the best in the industry, the role will be critical in delivering high quality solutions to our global clients. You will work with SI and Benchmark and Index Management Delivery Leads and in collaboration with Business and Engineering teams within SI and across the wider FTSE Russell/LSEG.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the development of project artifacts, project and resource plans, ensuring they are prioritized.
  • Controls project spend to stay within budget. Including maintaining detailed, accurate, cost forecast, reconciling against actual spend and validating any variances.
  • Proactively work to identify and minimise risks, issues and dependencies which may jeopardise project success
  • Partner with project sponsors/collaborators to define project objectives and success criteria, showcase achievements, and develop status reports to appraise stakeholders of progress.
  • Engage with Engineering leads to understand their teams’ requirements, challenges, estimates of effort and agree approaches. Regularly obtain feedback to assess what is working and what needs to change.
  • Ensure projects adhere to LSEG Group Standards for project methodology, governance, and risk management inline with the LSEG Change Framework.

Skills & Experience

  • The ideal candidate will have significant experience as a project/program manager in technology and/or financial services industries.
  • Capable of quickly grasp technical and business concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, ability to interact at all levels of the organization (including C-level) and tailor communications appropriately
