Aptiv is seeking a Senior Radar ML Engineer to join their innovative team in Wuppertal, Germany. The role involves applying the latest radar and AI/ML technologies to develop market-leading perception solutions for future autonomous vehicles. The engineer will collaborate with a passionate international team to create new sensors, algorithms, and platforms. The ideal candidate should be passionate about deep learning, possess strong analytical and programming skills, and have experience in machine learning for sensor perception. The job requires developing competitive solutions for real-world products in a challenging technical environment.
Must have:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in a related field
  • 4+ years of industry experience in ML, Radar Processing, or embedded systems
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excellent programming skills in Python
  • Excellent programming skills in C/C++
  • Strong experience with machine learning for sensor perception
Good to have:
  • Experience with modern radar signal processing methods
  • Experience in team software development
  • Experience in deep learning toolkits (Theano, Pytorch, TensorFlow)
  • Experience in real-time and embedded systems
  • Autonomous driving or ADAS experience
  • Publications in relevant conferences

Good perception is essential to extract the necessary information about the environment for future autonomous vehicles. We are looking for a passionate engineer with a background in machine learning or radar engineering. In this job you shall apply the latest radar and AI/ML technologies to Aptivs newest radar sensor generations to create competitive market-leading perception solutions. You love deep learning or want to learn it? You can grasp the core idea behind concepts, and you can transfer these concepts into new areas together with a team?   • Master or Ph.D. in science, technology, physics, engineering and mathematics or a related field

  • At least 4 years of relevant industry experience in Machine Learning, Radar Processing or embedded system development

  • Excellent analytical skills and a good mathematical background with deep mathematical understanding

  • Excellent programming skills and experience in programming with Python

  • Excellent programming skills and experience in programming with C/C++

  • Strong Experience with machine learning for sensor perception

Bonus:
  • Experience with modern radar signal processing methods

  • Experience in developing software as part of a team. Experience in deep learning toolkits like Theano, Pytorch, Tensor Flow, etc.

  • Experience in the field of real-time and embedded systems

  • Autonomous driving or ADAS experience

  • Proven track record of publications in relevant conferences (CVPR, NIPS, ICCV, ICRA, Fusion, ...) showing the capability to develop leading competitive solutions.
