The Senior Salesforce QA Engineer will validate end-to-end functional modules in Sales, Service, Revenue, and Marketing Cloud, requiring knowledge of the Force.com platform and an analytical mindset. Responsibilities include collaborating with teams, reviewing designs, creating test artifacts, and participating in agile ceremonies. They will also handle client interactions and contribute to knowledge sharing. The role involves testing Salesforce Lightning and Classic experiences, configurations, integrations, and data migrations, ensuring solutions meet end-user needs. The candidate must be able to analyze requirements and generate test cases from them.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of Salesforce testing experience in Sales, Service, and Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience in Salesforce Lightning, Classic, configuration, integration, and data migration.
  • Proficiency in Playwright Automation tool and Cucumber.
  • Experience in validating functional flows in various Salesforce modules.
  • Experience in integrating Salesforce with databases and third-party platforms.
  • Strong testing skills in Salesforce standard and custom components.
  • Experience with leading and mentoring a testing team.
  • Exposure in configuring validation rules, workflows, and approval processes.
  • Exposure to Security and sharing rules implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of Integration testing.
  • Good knowledge of SOQL for data validation.
  • Experience in creating Reports in Salesforce.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to project changes.
  • Hands on experience in Agile / Waterfall Methodologies
  • Interacting with client-side professionals for system study, requirements verification and analysis.
  • Documenting/Reporting, tracking, communicating test results, analysis, unresolved problems using tools.
  • Hands on experience in Functional, Integration, Regression testing and preparation of Test cases & Test Reports.
  • Able to analyse the requirements and implement test cases.
  • Conversant with SDLC and STLC.
Good to have:
  • Experience in Salesforce Data cloud testing.
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator (ADM-201) or equivalent experience.

Overview

    • A Sr. Salesforce QA Engineer is responsible for validating end to end functional modules or apps in Sales, Service, Revenue and Marketing cloud. This role requires proficient knowledge of Force.com platform and an analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
    • A Sr. Salesforce QA engineer is an instrumental member of a project team, helping to ensure that a solution is fit for end user's needs, work closely with the entire project team to review the overall functional and non-functional requirements, while keeping a user's perspective in mind. Activities in this role will include analysing non-functional requirements and technical designs, translating functional requirements into test cases, and identifying defects and driving them to resolution.
    • Ideally, candidates should possess a drive for thinking creatively to resolve complex problems and enjoy contributing to solutions regardless of their functional role within a project team.

Responsibilities

    • Salesforce platform: Validate all the end-to-end functional flows/apps which is developed or customized in Sales Cloud, Service cloud, Revenue Cloud and Marketing cloud. Experience in testing Salesforce Lightning, Classic experience, Salesforce configuration, Integration, and data migration projects.
    • Collaborate: Collaborate with project/business teams to reproduce, analyse, and debug issues. Demonstrate ownership and accountability through self-directed task management.
    • Design Review: Review functional/operational requirements and design specifications, advise Project Management, Business Analysts, and/or Testing Leads regarding requirements and design testability.
    • Ownership: Own and/or monitor a small QA team for Delivery/Client Services/Internal projects (with guidance from QA Lead or QA Manager).
    • Test case management and execution: Creation and management of QA test artifacts like test plans, test estimations and test cases. Execute test cases while leveraging various test heuristics to validate products are working as expected.
    • Agile methodology: Actively participate in all agile ceremonies, backlog refinement and user story reviews.
    • Client handling: Direct client interaction and expectation to be able to lead QA calls.
    • Delivery: Facilitate UAT planning and execution of UAT.
    • Team handling: Actively contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives and help in skill development of peer QA engineers.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Salesforce.com testing which is developed or customized in Sales Cloud, Service cloud and Marketing cloud.
    • Minimum 5+ year of testing experience in Salesforce Lightning, Classic experience, Salesforce configuration, Integration, Customization and data migration projects.
    • Proficiency in both Playwright Automation tool and Cucumber is essential.
    • Exposure in validating functional flows in Account / Contact / Lead / Campaign / Opportunity / Quote / Contract Lifecycle Management, Activities, Approval, and Flows, Reports and Dashboards, integration, and validations.
    • Experience in integrating testing of Salesforce.com and Force.com with relational databases, 3rd party platforms, and Salesforce.com partner applications.
    • Strong testing skills in Salesforce standard object, custom objects, custom fields, page layouts, custom Tabs, Reports and various other components as per application requirements including Salesforce Mobile App
    • Experience with leading and mentoring Testing team.
    • Exposure in configuring validation rules, workflows, process builders, approval processes, email notifications and custom reports.
    • Exposure to Security and sharing rules implementation at object, field, and record level for different users at different levels of organization.
    • Strong knowledge of Integration testing is highly desirable.
    • Good knowledge of SOQL is highly desirable for data validation.
    • Experience in creating Reports in Salesforce for daily metrics, dashboards, and monitoring the variance in the data Reviewing.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
    • Should have hands on experience in Agile / Waterfall Methodologies
    • Interacting with client-side professionals for system study, requirements verification and analysis.
    • Documenting/Reporting, tracking, communicating test results, analysis, unresolved problems using tools.
    • Hands on experience in Functional, Integration, Regression testing and preparation of Test cases & Test Reports.
