Senior Software Engineer, Frontend

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Attentive, you will build products powering personalized communication for millions of consumers. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create intuitive, performant, and accessible user experiences for our enterprise-grade email marketing platform and customer-facing messaging products. This role involves contributing to high-impact projects, enhancing features, improving code quality, and addressing technical debt in a collaborative environment focused on technical excellence and scalability.

Must Have

• Develop and maintain scalable frontend applications for email marketing platform.
• Build and enhance high-performance, user-friendly frontend applications for customer-facing messaging products.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers.
• Improve code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.
• Identify and address technical debt to ensure long-term maintainability.
• Contribute to frontend technical decisions and stay current with emerging technologies.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development with a focus on frontend engineering.
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Experience contributing to high-scale applications used by enterprise customers.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and performance optimization.
• Experience collaborating with designers and product managers to translate wireframes and prototypes into production-ready code.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and working alongside backend services.
• Solid understanding of frontend testing and CI/CD practices.

About the Role

At Attentive, our engineering team builds products that power personalized communication for millions of consumers every day. As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to craft intuitive, performant, and accessible experiences. We’re hiring across several product areas, so you’ll have the opportunity to work on initiatives that span the customer lifecycle—from engagement tools and analytics to internal platforms that help our clients grow. Regardless of the team, you’ll contribute to high-impact projects in a collaborative environment that values technical excellence, scalability, and thoughtful design.

What You'll Accomplish

• Develop and maintain scalable frontend applications that power Attentive’s enterprise-grade email marketing platform
• Build and enhance high-performance, user-friendly frontend applications that power our customer-facing messaging products
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality features that enhance the email creation and delivery experience
• Improve code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices
• Identify and address technical debt to ensure long-term maintainability of our frontend codebase
• Contribute to frontend technical decisions and stay current with emerging technologies to improve developer velocity and product performance

Your Expertise

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development with a focus on frontend engineering
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React
• Experience contributing to high-scale applications used by enterprise customers
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and performance optimization
• Experience collaborating with designers and product managers to translate wireframes and prototypes into production-ready code
• Familiarity with GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and working alongside backend services
• Solid understanding of frontend testing and CI/CD practices
• Excited by new technologies but intentional about adopting the right tool for the problem
