Job Description
The Senior Specialist in Program & Project Management will be responsible for planning the release of project deliverables and managing the release lifecycle. This includes coordinating release schedules, resources, and communicating project-related tasks across teams. The role involves identifying and mitigating release risks, tracking progress, and ensuring releases align with requirements and budget. They will also prepare release readiness reviews, create implementation plans, and provide weekly updates. Communication with release managers from different IT departments, and collaboration with development teams for automation tools, and maintaining documentation are also key responsibilities.
Must Have:
- Plan project deliverables and release lifecycle.
- Communicate project tasks between teams.
- Coordinate release schedules and resources.
- Identify and manage release risks.
- Track release progress and resolve issues.
- Ensure releases meet requirements and budget.
- Prepare release readiness and milestone reviews.
- Create implementation and deployment plans.
- Provide weekly updates on release activities.
- Plan the release of project deliverables and release life cycle
- Communicate the projectrelated tasks such as plans timelines requirements etc between different teams
- Coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending upon the thirdparty applications defect backlogs planned releases and infrastructure updates
- Identify the risks that can delay the release and manage them such that the scope scheduled and quality of the release is not affected
- Track the progress and find issues if any
- Make sure that the release is planned according to the requirements and budget
- Schedule the release readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release
- Create plans for the implementation and deployment as per the release schedule
- Plan and give weekly updates on the release activities
- Communicate with release managers from different IT departments
- Team up with relevant development teams responsible for building the automation tools used to develop and deploy the software
- Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release various notifications lists and dependencies
