Senior System Software Performance Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior System Software Performance Engineer to join its performance verification team. This role involves working closely with NVIDIA's development and architecture teams on Ethernet AI solutions. Responsibilities include building automated verification environments for high-end hardware and software, identifying and reporting software defects, and driving improvements in performance, quality, and stability for SW acceleration solutions. The engineer will also stay updated with industry best practices in software verification.

Must Have

• Participate in an international team of software engineers.
• Build automated verification environments for high-end hardware and software.
• Identify, analyze, and report software defects and quality issues.
• Drive improvements for performance, quality, and stability of SW acceleration solutions.
• B.Sc. degree or equivalent experience in Engineering/Computer Science/related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Expertise in networking & compute infrastructure (servers, switches, routers, TCP/UDP).
• Knowledge of how to tune environment for best performance and deploy infrastructure.
• Strong technical abilities, problem-solving, coding, and design skills.
• Ability to lead feature development, take full ownership, and deliver independently.
• General understanding of Linux operating system concepts.

Good to Have

• Knowledge in performance testing scenarios and creation of performance reports.
• Proven experience in a leadership role, successfully leading scrums and projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to motivate and inspire.
• Knowledge in one or more Networking areas: Ethernet, VLANs, TCP/UDP/IP, QoS, L2-L3 protocols.
• Prior software testing experience, with understanding of Software Testing Tools and Methodologies and Python expertise.

What we need to see:

• B.Sc. degree or equivalent experience in Engineering/Computer Science/related field
• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Strong programming skills in Python
