Job Summary
Steamroller Technologies is seeking a Senior Technical Producer to lead the delivery of technically complex interactive projects. This role involves owning project timelines, budgets, and execution, working closely with creative and technical leadership. The producer will ensure ambitious ideas are delivered predictably and sustainably, making high-level trade-off decisions and managing cross-disciplinary teams.
Must Have
- Own and maintain project schedules and budgets from kickoff through delivery
- Define milestones, dependencies, and resourcing plans
- Track progress, forecast risk, and manage change
- Lead scope, schedule, and cost trade-off conversations
- Partner with senior creative and technical leadership to align delivery plans
- Participate in decisions where vision, technical approach, and delivery constraints intersect
- Ensure changes in direction are reflected in updated schedules and budgets
- Represent production priorities with authority and good judgment
- Maintain sufficient technical understanding to identify integration, performance, and schedule risk
- Ask informed questions of engineering and technical art teams
- Surface assumptions, unknowns, and dependencies early
- Lead planning, estimation, and tracking for multi-disciplinary teams
- Run production rituals that support focus, accountability, and momentum
- Maintain production tooling with an emphasis on clarity and signal
- Remove friction so teams can focus on execution
- Own delivery expectations with internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate progress, risk, and changes clearly and proactively
- Ensure commitments are made deliberately and honored
- 7+ years of experience producing technically complex projects
- Proven ownership of schedules and budgets on multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience working with senior creative and technical leaders as peers
- Technical literacy sufficient to understand system-level discussions and their delivery impact
- Strong judgment in balancing ambition, risk, and feasibility
Good to Have
- Experience with real-time engines (Unity, Unreal, or equivalent)
- Experience with experiential, hardware-integrated, or location-based projects

This role is accountable for project timeline, budget, and execution, working in close partnership with senior creative and technical leadership to ensure ambitious ideas are delivered predictably and sustainably. The ideal candidate brings strong production judgment, technical fluency, and the confidence to participate as a peer in high-level trade-off decisions that shape the final product.
Responsibilities
Timeline & Budget Ownership
- Own and maintain project schedules and budgets from kickoff through delivery
- Define milestones, dependencies, and resourcing plans that reflect real technical complexity
- Track progress, forecast risk, and manage change with clarity and intent
- Lead scope, schedule, and cost trade-off conversations to keep projects on track
