Job Summary
As a Senior Unreal Developer, you’ll play a key role in transforming real-world sports data into powerful, interactive visual experiences. You will collaborate with developers, artists, and data engineers to build high-performance Unreal Engine systems, architect modular and scalable systems, and mentor junior developers. The role involves experimenting with new Unreal features, optimising rendering performance, and designing plug-ins to streamline production, all to redefine how people experience sports.
Must Have
- Transform real-world sports data into interactive visual experiences.
- Collaborate with developers, artists, and data engineers.
- Build high-performance Unreal Engine systems.
- Architect modular, scalable systems for reuse.
- Mentor junior developers and shape development standards.
- Advanced proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine 5.
- Experience integrating Blueprints with C++ systems.
- Strong understanding of Unreal subsystems.
- Proven experience profiling and optimising CPU and memory usage.
- Expertise in performance optimization using Unreal Insights.
- Experience packaging and deploying for at least one platform.
- Hands-on experience with Unreal Plugins and Modules.
- Solid grasp of game development principles.
- Living in the Netherlands.

What Your Day Will Look Like
As a Senior Unreal Developer, you’ll play a key role in transforming real-world sports data into powerful, interactive visual experiences that engage fans and clients around the world.
Each day, you’ll collaborate with developers, artists, and data engineers to build high-performance Unreal Engine systems that bring data to life from immersive visualisations to dynamic, interactive platforms.
You’ll architect modular, scalable systems designed for reuse across multiple projects, ensuring our tech stack stays efficient, flexible, and future-ready. You’ll also mentor junior developers, share your technical expertise, and help shape our development standards and best practices.
Whether you’re experimenting with new Unreal features, optimising rendering performance, or designing plug-ins to streamline production, you’ll be at the heart of crafting experiences that redefine how people see and understand sports.

This role is based on-site at our Alkmaar office (32–40 hours per week). You’ll need to be living in the Netherlands and eligible to work in the EU.
Tech Stack and Skill Requirements
You don’t need to tick every box, but here’s what we’re looking for:
- Advanced proficiency in C++ and a deep understanding of Unreal Engine 5 architecture and coding standards
- Experience integrating Blueprints with C++ systems
- Strong understanding of Unreal subsystems: Actors, Components, GameMode, Pawns, Input System (Enhanced Input preferred)
- Proven experience profiling and optimising both CPU and memory usage
- Expertise in performance optimization using Unreal Insights and related tools
- Experience packaging and deploying for at least one platform (PC, console, mobile, or VR)
- Hands-on experience with Unreal Plugins and Modules (development and integration)
- Solid grasp of game development principles and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
