The VFX Artist will design, create, and implement in-game special effects (like explosions, fire, smoke, etc.) and other environmental effects, special abilities, weapon attacks, etc. powered by Unreal 5. The ideal candidate understands the creation of remarkable in-game visual effects and should exhibit creativity, technical skills, and artistic skills.
- Creating real-time visual effects (e.g., environmental effects, flames, dust, sprays of water, magic effects), both for gameplay and cinematics
- Creating various VFX assets: textures, materials, meshes, fluid simulations
- Executing the process from prototype to final assets
- Close cooperation with Game Designers, 3D Artists, and Programmers
- Effects optimization
- At least 3 years of experience with visual effects for games
- Experience with creating VFX in Unreal Engine is a must
- Experience with Photoshop / 3D (Maya, Max, Blender etc.)
- Iterative approach
- Ability to create natural/believable effects
- Experience in using a version control system
- Portfolio
- Working experience in the gaming industry
- Experience with 3rd party software, Fume FX, Houdini, RealFlow etc,. will be a plus
- Shipped title experience will be a plus
