Job Description

This leader will be responsible for advancing Trek’s search engine visibility across all global properties. They will own the strategy required to ensure Trek consistently wins search across all major global search engines as well as current and emerging AI tools. The SEO Manager will also serve as Trek’s subject matter expert, proactively staying ahead of search trends and driving adoption across the organization, driving optimal search across existing global search platforms and leading Trek through the industry shift towards AI search.
Must Have:
  • Develop and own Trek’s global SEO strategy and roadmap.
  • Partner cross-functionally to embed SEO best practices.
  • Stay ahead of evolving search trends (AI-driven search, SGE).
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research for organic growth.
  • Collaborate on SEO-aligned content creation and optimization.
  • Implement and refine technical SEO practices.
  • Optimize site architecture, markup, and performance metrics.
  • Lead local search optimization for retail stores.
  • Track, analyze, and communicate SEO performance using various tools.
  • Translate data into actionable strategies for visibility, traffic, and conversions.
  • Proactively identify growth opportunities and risks.
  • 5+ years experience in leading SEO strategy for large, global websites.
  • Deep expertise in technical SEO.
  • Proficiency with leading SEO and analytics tools.
  • Ability to influence and educate cross-functional teams.
  • Experience building scalable reporting systems.

Job Description

This leader will be responsible for advancing Trek’s search engine visibility across all global properties. They will own the strategy required to ensure Trek consistently wins search across all major global search engines as well as current and emerging AI tools. The SEO Manager will also serve as Trek’s subject matter expert, proactively staying ahead of search trends and driving adoption across the organization, driving optimal search across existing global search platforms and leading Trek through the industry shift towards AI search, as well as responding to senior leader SEO related questions/requests in a timely manner.

Position Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Roadmap
  • Develop and own Trek’s global SEO strategy and roadmap, aligning with digital marketing, e-commerce, and brand goals.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, content, and regional marketing teams to embed SEO best practices across all initiatives.
  • Stay ahead of evolving search trends (AI-driven search, SGE) and proactively implement innovative tactics to keep Trek ahead of competitors.
  • Enhance Trek’s digital authority and discoverability through content collaborations and off-page SEO initiatives.
  • Be able to clearly articulate and lead search initiatives to be executed and adopted by in-market or global specialists.
  • Content and Organic Growth
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify opportunities for organic growth.
  • Collaborate with copywriters and marketing teams to create SEO-aligned content, optimizing metadata, headings, and images.
  • Ensure global and regional content strategies align with SEO objectives and drive measurable increases in traffic and engagement.
  • Be familiar with and understand optimal use of translation tools to support local language and culturally relevant execution of search in markets.
  • Technical SEO Excellence:
  • Implement and refine technical SEO practices, ensuring proper indexing, crawling, and web core vitals performance.
  • Optimize site architecture, markup, and performance metrics across all global properties.
  • Lead local search optimization for Trek-owned retail stores, enhancing visibility in specific markets.
  • Analytics, Insights and Action:
  • Track, analyze, and communicate SEO performance across all global properties using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and other leading tools.
  • Track, analyze and make recommendations on AI search including clear analysis of the overlap and or incrementality of AI search versus conventional search platforms.
  • Translate data into actionable strategies that drive measurable improvements in visibility, traffic, and conversions.
  • Build scalable reporting systems and automation that empower teams to act quickly on SEO insights.
  • Proactively identify growth opportunities and risks, providing clear recommendations to senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
  • Proactively share global and locally relevant consumer search insights using a strong understanding of the business and all consumer channels to frame the insights shared.
  • Provide recommendation for in-market SEO actions with relevant training support where required.

Position Requirements/Qualifications

  • 5+ years leading SEO strategy and execution for large, complex, or global websites
  • Deep expertise in technical SEO, including schema, Core Web Vitals, and site performance optimization
  • Proven success driving measurable organic growth across multiple channels and regions
  • Proficiency with leading SEO and analytics tools (Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and educate cross-functional teams
  • Experience building scalable reporting systems and translating insights into actionable growth strategies
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, innovative, and passionate about staying ahead of search and digital trends
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills
