Job Description

This role involves developing and maintaining the ServiceNow platform, focusing on Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM). The developer will configure, customize, and troubleshoot the system to meet business needs in an Agile environment. Responsibilities include designing and implementing solutions, creating integrations, building Service Catalog Items, and developing scripts and workflows to enhance automation and efficiency. US Citizenship and the ability to attain a Security clearance are required. The ideal candidate has specific experience with the SPM module and can resolve complex technical problems.
Must have:
  • Develop and maintain ServiceNow platform, focusing on Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow using JavaScript and APIs.
  • Design and implement custom applications, workflows, catalog items, and integrations.
  • Develop and configure integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
  • Work within an Agile methodology for development and testing.
  • Conduct regular ServiceNow version upgrades.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or relevant field.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with ServiceNow platform.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow API web services.
  • Proven experience integrating ServiceNow with other applications.
  • US Citizenship and ability to attain Security clearance.
Good to have:
  • Experience across ITSM, ITOM, HAM, SAM, and HR modules

In this role, the ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the ServiceNow platform across all installed modules with a particular focus on Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), configuring and customizing the out of box system to meet the business needs, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing support to a variety of teams and individuals in a dynamic Agile environment. US Citizenship required. Must be able to attain a Security clearance.

The successful candidate will work closely with the ServiceNow Solutions Architect to design and implement requirements from many different business stakeholders, creating and maintaining integrations with multiple other systems, building Service Catalog Items, developing scripts and workflows, and increasing automation to make the business more efficient and effective through ServiceNow.

For this position we are seeking a candidate with particular experience developing the SPM module within ServiceNow, who can resolve complex technical problems while ensuring minimal disruption to the environment.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

  • Have the ability to assist requesters in refining business requirement details to ensure the customers will be receiving functionality requested.
  • Gain knowledge of our ServiceNow implementation to understand and identify cross platform impacts of changes or enhancements being requested.
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions including custom applications, workflows, catalog items, and integrations to meet complex business requirements
  • Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform using javascript and ServiceNow APIs to extend capabilities and enhance user experience
  • Design and implement workflows to support business needs and increase automation
  • Develop and configure integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using integration spokes or custom APIs
  • Build and maintain custom applications following best practice to ensure performance and maintainability
  • Work within the Agile methodology to develop, build and test alongside other developers to ensure the best product is delivered to requestors in a timely manner
  • Work with implementation partners, or internal project teams to Implement new modules as business needs evolve
  • Conduct regular ServiceNow version upgrades to ensure we remain compliant and supported by the vendor

Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a relevant technical field
  • Servicenow Certified Application Developer
  • At least 5+ years experience working with the ServiceNow platform, preferably across SPM, ITSM, ITOM, HAM, SAM, and HR modules
  • Strong understanding of ITIL principles and practices
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow API web services
  • Proven experience with integrating ServiceNow with other applications
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • U.S. Citizenship residing on U.S. Soil - will be required to pass Federal clearance.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
