Job Description

This 2nd Shift Shipper Receiver position involves operating forklifts and other equipment for the receipt and shipment of raw materials, operating supplies, and finished products. Responsibilities include pulling, assembling, packing, and wrapping orders, receiving inbound materials, loading/unloading trucks, and transporting materials. The role requires verifying material completeness, checking for damage, maintaining records, using a bar code scanner for inventory accuracy, and performing cycle counts. Work is performed under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager, ensuring compliance with safety and housekeeping policies.
Must have:
  • Operate forklift and other equipment for material handling.
  • Pull, assemble, and prepare finished product orders for shipment.
  • Select, pack, and wrap products for shipping.
  • Receive inbound materials and transfer to storage locations.
  • Receive raw materials for inventory.
  • Load and unload trucks; transport materials between departments.
  • Count and examine materials, verify completeness, check for damage, maintain records.
  • Match materials against bills of lading, advise supervisor of discrepancies.
  • Use bar code scanner for inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain work location in excellent condition for safety and housekeeping.
  • Perform cycle counts and other inventory verification.

Responsibilities & Opportunities

This is a 2nd Shift position, 9:30am - 6:00pm Monday - Friday

Broad Function and Purpose of Position:

Operate a forklift and other equipment in the performance of tasks related to the receipt and shipment of raw materials, operating supplies and finished product. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, and/or Warehouse Manager, and may include other activities as assigned.

Specific Responsibilities (Includes but not limited to):

  • Pull finished product from inventory, assemble orders and prepare for shipment in accordance with company policy and customer requests.
  • Select, pack and wrap product to be shipped.
  • Receive inbound material including finished product from other locations, raw materials, operating supplies and equipment and transfers to appropriate storage locations.
  • Receive raw material for inventory.
  • Operate forklift to load and unload trucks and transport materials between departments and buildings.
  • Count and examine raw materials, supplies, and finished products, to verify completeness against appropriate documents; checks for damaged materials; maintains records of shortages, damages and other exceptions.
  • Match material against bills of lading, advises Supervisor of discrepancies.
  • Use bar code scanner to achieve inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain work location in excellent condition to comply with company policies for safety and housekeeping.
  • Perform cycle counts and other inventory verification as required.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Warehouse Leadership.

Preferred Skills

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Years Experience: 1-2 years experience in a manufacturing environment which must have included at least 6 months experience in the operation of a sitdown or stand up forklift.
