Must Have:
  • Define and implement new infrastructure capabilities, tool flows, and environments
  • Build logic, verification, P&R construction, and analysis flows for timing, power, and reliability
  • Employ good software engineering practices to develop leading-edge EDA/CAD tools
  • Work closely with custom and physical design engineers to train and support them
  • Interface with EDA vendors to solve issues, evaluate tools, and improve tools
  • Strong scripting skills in Shell, Tcl, and Python
  • Familiar with flow development, user interface creation, testing, debugging
  • Technical background in VLSI, ASIC, and EDA fundamentals
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in a technical subject area

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement new infrastructure capabilities, tool flows, and environments that can be used to accelerate design and development
  • Build logic, verification, P&R construction, and analysis flows for timing, power, and reliability (signal/power integrity, etc.)
  • Employ good software engineering practices to develop leading-edge EDA/CAD tools for chip development
  • Work closely with custom and physical design engineers to train and support them and identify possible improvements and solutions
  • Interface with EDA vendors to solve issues, evaluate tools, and improve tools

Requirements

  • Strong scripting skills in multiple languages (Shell, Tcl, and Python are required)
  • Familiar with flow development including creating a good user interface, testing/improving run-time, debugging issues
  • Technical background in VLSI, ASIC, and EDA fundamentals
  • Background in front-end design and physical or custom design is a plus
  • Self-starter with passion for growth, ability to quickly learn, enthusiasm for continuous learning and sharing findings across the team
  • Excellent skills in problem solving, written and verbal communication

Education and Experience

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in a technical subject area
