Job Summary

As an SMB Account Executive at Pluralsight, you will prospect new logos and expand existing customer accounts through upgrades. You will manage a large book of business, crafting value-based messages via email and phone to help small and medium-sized businesses understand Pluralsight's impact. Supported by a sales team, you'll build relationships, identify customer needs, maintain Salesforce accuracy, and execute activities to drive new customer acquisition, pipeline generation, and booked ARR.

As an SMB Account Executive on our team, you will be responsible for prospecting new logos and expanding customers through upgrades to their accounts. You’ll work diligently to manage a large book of business consisting of whitespace and existing customers. You’ll focus on crafting unique and value-based messages through email and phone calls, to help small and medium sized business customers understand the impact of partnering with Pluralsight. You’ll have the support of an extended sales team consisting of inbound BDRs, solutions consultants, and marketing, to ensure you are putting your best foot forward.

What you’ll do:

  • Build relationships with customers, identify and care for customer needs, maintain accuracy in Salesforce, develop processes for meaningful customer experience, and identify companies that are in our top buying industries, have the specific personas we target, or have used/shown interest in Pluralsight before.
  • Conduct targeted outreach to customers through personalized emails, calls, and generated leads to drive new customer acquisition, and upgrade existing customer base.
  • Execute a consistent activity process to deliver the "Metrics that Matter": held customer meetings, new pipeline generation, and booked ARR.

  • This is a remote role; however, applicants located within 45 miles of our Westlake/Dallas, TX office should expect to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Travel: Travel expectations differ by role. Some quota-bearing sales positions involve limited travel, while others may involve travel of up to 40%, depending on business needs.

This role is primarily performed in an office or home office setting and involves standard computer-based work.

Pay Transparency:

The annual US base + variable range for this role is $72,000 - $90,000 USD. Actual compensation will depend on location, skills, experience, and other factors. Additional benefits and bonuses may apply.
