Social Media Trend Producer

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands.

We are seeking a Social Media Trend Producer for an exciting on-site opportunity in Santa Monica, California. As part of the Content Team at our social media client, you will play a key role in identifying timely, trending, and culturally relevant public content. You’ll collaborate with fellow Trend Curators and Producers to keep audiences engaged with fresh, exciting, and informative content. This is a four-month, full-time, on-site project. Pay rate is $20-23/hr, paid weekly.

Social Media Trend Producer Responsibilities:

• Identify trends, major cultural moments, and topics that resonate with our audience while staying highly responsive to emerging, unexpected moments.

• Curate and amplify timely, trending, and fresh user-submitted content.

• Support and oversee Trend Curators tasked with analyzing large volumes of content to detect key moments, trends, conversations, and relevant themes.

• Review and moderate submitted content in real-time.

• Provide continuous feedback to Trend Curators to improve content selection and curation processes.

• Communicate and collaborate with engineering, moderation, and product teams to address any challenges that arise during shifts.

Social Media Trend Producer Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in content curation, trend analysis, or digital media.

• Expertise in short-form video trends, major pop culture moments, and significant events.

• Strong understanding of Gen Alpha, Gen Z, and Millennials.

• Highly motivated, proactive, and an excellent communicator.

• Outstanding research and organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail.

• Strong editorial judgment and an understanding of what makes content engaging.

• Up-to-date knowledge of pop culture, trends, and current events.

• A collaborative team player who values diverse perspectives.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Marketing, Communications, Media, etc.).

• Passion for internet trends, pop culture, and real-time content.

• Flexible schedule with availability to work nights and weekends as needed.

• Experience working with short-form content and digital media platforms.
