Job Description

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer for its TETRA Software Engineering Team in Penang, Malaysia. This role involves contributing to the implementation and enhancement of product features, participating in all stages of product development from requirement definition to testing, and ensuring design feasibility within quality, time, and cost constraints. The engineer will also coordinate and participate in software design and code reviews, create and execute tests, and collaborate with other teams to ensure successful feature deployment.

Must Have:

Implement and enhance product features as an individual engineer.
Participate in full product development lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, testing.
Analyze software requirements for design feasibility and constraints.
Coordinate and participate in software design and code reviews.
Create and execute unit, integration, and system tests.
Collaborate with front-end and test teams for feature deployment.
Work effectively in a multi-site global development environment.
Meet project deliverables and timelines in dynamic settings.
Adhere to team performance and quality metrics.
Collect and analyze data for Key Performance Indicators.
Develop intellectual property for the company.
Contribute to software development process improvements.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunications.
Fresh graduate with no prior permanent employment.
Minimum CGPA of 3.00 or 2nd class upper.
Graduated in 2020 or 2021.
Willingness to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.

Job Description

Responsible in contributing as an individual engineer on implementing new feature or enhancing existing feature for the product.
Responsible in participating in all aspects of product development process including requirement definition, design, implementation and testing.
Responsible in Analyzing software requirements to determine feasibility of design within quality assurance, time and cost constraints.
Responsible in coordinating and participating in software design and code review.
Responsible in creating and executing unit, integration and system tests.
Collaborate with front end team and test team to ensure best solution is always in place to promote successful feature deployment.
Inter-group and intra-group teamwork in a multi-site world-wide development environment.
To meet project's deliverable and timeline requirement in a highly dynamic environment.
Adhere to the team's performance and quality metrics.
To collect and analyze data affecting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Develop intellectual property for the company.
Contribute to the improvement of existing software development processes

Basic Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications or related fields.
Open for fresh graduates with no previous permanent employment upon graduation
Graduate with minimum CGPA of 3.00 or 2nd class upper.
Year of graduation: 2020 / 2021
Must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
