Job Description

As a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer at Motorola Solutions, you will collaborate with the Sales Division to expand the company's ventures. You will translate complex technology into customer value, acting as the technical bridge between innovative products and client security needs. Key responsibilities include designing tailored video security and access control solutions, acting as a technical authority for product evaluations and presentations, specializing in specific products, building client relationships, and troubleshooting complex technical challenges. This role involves travel and operates under a Dynamic Hybrid Work model.
Good To Have:
  • Security industry experience or relevant certifications in enterprise security, on-premise, and cloud-hosted video and access control solutions
  • Technical certifications (e.g., Cloud, Microsoft, Cisco, or equivalent)
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • A university degree or diploma in a technology-related field
Must Have:
  • Proven, successful experience in a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering role within a technology or security company
  • Solid understanding of the access control and video surveillance markets and associated technical solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of networking principles and communications protocols
  • Proficiency in security systems design, implementation, and maintenance (video surveillance, access control)
  • Experience with system integrations and enterprise-grade computer hardware configuration and troubleshooting
  • Proficient-level fluency in English with stellar verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently with solo superpowers while thriving in a collaborative team environment
  • A valid driving license

As a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer, you will be a critical, collaborative partner to the Sales Division, driving the expansion and success of Motorola Solutions’ ventures. You will translate complex technology into tangible customer value, acting as the technical bridge between our innovative products and our clients' real-world security needs.

Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas:

  • Solution Architect & Design: Partner with the Sales team to analyze client security challenges and design sophisticated, tailored video security and access control solutions.
  • Technical Expert & Educator: Act as the go-to technical authority for our offerings. Conduct compelling product evaluations, proofs-of-concept, training sessions, and persuasive presentations that showcase the unique value of Motorola Solutions.
  • Product Specialization: Dive deep to become a true specialist in specific Motorola Solutions products, consistently sharing knowledge to empower sales and customers to achieve their security and business goals.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Complex Troubleshooting: Utilize strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address complex technical challenges and system integration issues.
  • Travel & Work Environment: This role involves exciting travel (up to 50%), locally and internationally, to support site surveys, client meetings, and industry tradeshows. It operates under a Dynamic Hybrid Work model, blending in-office collaboration with remote work.

Basic Requirements

Required Qualifications and Expertise:

  • Pre-Sales Prowess: Proven, successful experience in a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering role within a technology or security company.
  • Security Savvy: Solid understanding of the access control and video surveillance markets and associated technical solutions.
  • Networking & Systems: Advanced knowledge of networking principles and communications protocols.
  • Hardware/Software Proficiency:
  • Proficiency in security systems design, implementation, and maintenance (video surveillance, access control).
  • Experience with system integrations and enterprise-grade computer hardware configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Communication Mastery: Proficient-level fluency in English with stellar verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Self-Motivated Team Player: Ability to work independently with solo superpowers while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ready to Roll: A valid driving license is required. A company car allowance or benefit may be offered, dependent on hiring location.
