The Development and Release Engineering (DRE) team at Electronic Arts is seeking a Software Engineer to automate and integrate technical components for game production. This hybrid role involves working with development teams to resolve build issues, designing and maintaining CI pipelines in systems like Jenkins, monitoring automation, managing virtual infrastructure, and maintaining product backlogs. The position requires 3+ years of experience in software development and proficiency in scripting and source-control systems.
Must Have
- Work as a technical liaison with development teams to address build issues and improvements.
- Design, implement, and maintain automation pipelines in CI systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Monitor and analyze automation systems to resolve performance bottlenecks and respond to breakages.
- Manage virtual infrastructure, including deploying and monitoring VMs/Containers.
- Maintain the product backlog including tasks and their priorities.
- 3+ years experience or education in software development.
- Proficient in software engineering and debugging principles.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python, PowerShell, Batch, Bash).
- Experience with source-control systems (e.g., Perforce, Git).

Development and Release Engineering (DRE) is the automation oil for the game production engine, integrating technical components and dependencies from partner teams to produce playable builds. We partner with Quality Verification, IT, Security, Cloud providers, Engine providers and other teams to simplify CI for game creators.
You will be reporting to a DRE Development Manager and working with your peers to provide excellent services to our partner teams at EA Vancouver.
This role will be Hybrid (3 days a week).
Responsibilities
