Job Description

As a Software Engineer on the Google Pixel team, you'll build and test innovative ideas, iterating throughout the product lifecycle. You'll collaborate with UX designers and product managers, ideating new user interaction paradigms and connecting real-world signals, app data, APIs, and contexts to create meaningful user experiences. This role requires building developer tools (compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks) and experience with software development languages like Kotlin or Java, along with data structures and algorithms. You will work on projects critical to Google's needs with opportunities for team and project changes.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
1+ years software development (Kotlin, Java)
1+ years data structures/algorithms experience
1+ year building developer tools
Build and test novel ideas

Good to have:

Master's/PhD in CS or related field
Android background

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Kotlin, Java).
1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
1 year of experience building developer tools (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks).

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
Android background.

Responsibilities

Build and test novel ideas and iterate.
Work with a multidisciplinary team of UXers and PMs through the entire lifecycle of our products and features.
Put creativity to test by ideating new user interaction paradigms and testing them out.
Explore how to connect real world signals, app data, APIs, and contexts to meaningful user experiences.
