The Spare Parts Specialist manages the picking, packing, and staging of all spare part orders, ensuring accurate delivery to customers. This role involves inventory management, monitoring parts usage, and assisting with accurate item counts. The specialist operates handling equipment and scanners, maintains high health and safety standards, and works in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Must have:
  • Manage pick ticket orders
  • Pull warehouse items from shelves based on requirements
  • Ensure orders are accurate
  • Stage items correctly for delivery and load delivery vehicles
  • Operate handling equipment and ensure safety regulations are followed
  • Plan and monitor product storage and dispatch
  • Oversee stock put-away and replenishment into VLM, small part shelves and rack locations
  • Monitor stock control systems and processes specific orders
  • Maintain a high level of health and safety standards
  • Shrink wrap products to pallets and pack small parts orders
  • Operate scanners for accurate order picking and inventory management
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a team, as well as independently
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment
  • Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time, with free range of motion
  • Wear appropriate safety and personal protective equipment
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a warehouse environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
  • An understanding of OSHA safety rules for warehouse work
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and not require sponsorship

Position Summary:

The Spare Parts Specialist manages the picking for all spare part orders, and physically picks inventory from the inventory locations to ensure accurate delivery of spare parts to the customer. This individual also packs orders – including shrink wrapping contents onto pallets – and stages loads for shipment to the customer. The Spare Parts Specialist will inventory all inbound spare part receipts and monitor parts usage to assist in the maintenance of accurate replenishment numbers. This individual will assist with accurate item counts of small parts during regular and unscheduled inventory procedures. This position will follow the policies and procedures concerning small parts inventory as they are established and maintained by the Inventory Control Manager.

While performing the duties of this job, the Spare Parts Specialist regularly works near moving mechanical apparatus and is regularly exposed to vibration and moderate to high noise levels. The work environment includes congested and high traffic areas, slippery floors, working alongside forklifts, single pallet jacks, electric walk behind jacks and hand carts. Walking and working is done on concrete flooring, as well as high and precarious places as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage pick ticket orders
  • Pull warehouse items from the shelves based on number, size, color, quantity, and quality requirements
  • Ensure that orders are accurate
  • Stage items correctly for delivery, and load delivery vehicles as necessary
  • Operate handling equipment and ensures safety regulations are followed
  • Plan and monitors product storage and dispatch
  • Oversee stock put-away and replenishment into VLM, small part shelves and rack locations
  • Monitor stock control systems and processes specific orders
  • Maintain a high level of health and safety standards
  • Shrink wrap products to pallets, and pack small parts orders as necessary
  • Operate scanners to ensure that the proper order is picked, and inventory is managed accurately
  • Perform other duties as assigned
