Job Summary

As a Sr Diffusion and Implant Process Engineer at Micron Technology, you will lead process development, optimization, and technology transfer for DRAM nodes. This role involves global collaboration, managing technology qualification projects, and applying structured problem-solving methods like FMEA, SPC, and 8D to resolve complex process issues. You will also drive cost reduction, productivity improvements, and risk management initiatives, ensuring alignment with Micron’s safety and quality standards.

Must Have

  • Complete required safety training and ensure all work complies with Micron safety policies.
  • Manage and monitor DRAM technology transfer projects to meet timelines and deliverables.
  • Build strong collaboration with sending fab counterparts, Micron Central Team, and local engineering teams.
  • Ensure execution of alignment projects for startup, yield, quality, and ramp objectives.
  • Own new technology node-related value engineering projects and tool evaluations.
  • Coordinate release plans for tools and resolve process mismatches with sending sites.
  • Capture lessons learned from technology transfers and implement mitigation plans effectively.
  • Ensure timely completion of NPI project milestones, including MSR actions and PRD/TRD sign-offs.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related engineering field.
  • 3+ years of experience in semiconductor process engineering (experimental design and data analysis).
  • Ability to use extensive technical knowledge to guide strategic directions.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues through root-cause or model-based problem solving.
  • Proficiency in statistics, preferably in statistical process control (SPC).

Good to Have

  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor processing in 300mm manufacturing/R&D fab.
  • Experienced in semiconductor processing in diffusion and implant specifically.
  • Ability to multi-task and lead numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in programming or scripting is desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete required safety training and ensure all work complies with Micron safety policies.
  • Manage and monitor DRAM technology transfer projects for assigned areas to meet timelines and deliverables.
  • Build strong collaboration with sending fab counterparts, Micron Central Team, and local engineering teams through regular meetings and communication.
  • Ensure execution of alignment projects for startup, yield, quality, and ramp objectives.
  • Own new technology node-related value engineering projects and tool evaluations.
  • Coordinate release plans for tools and resolve process mismatches with sending sites.
  • Capture lessons learned from technology transfers and implement mitigation plans effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related engineering field
  • 3+ years of experience in semiconductor process engineering (experimental design and data analysis)
  • Ability to use extensive technical knowledge to guide strategic directions. Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Ability to resolve complex issues through root-cause or model-based problem solving. Proficiency in statistics, preferably in statistical process control (SPC).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor processing in 300mm manufacturing/R&D fab. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; programming or scripting experience is a plus.
  • Experienced in semiconductor processing in diffusion and implant specifically.
  • Ability to multi-task and lead numerous projects simultaneously; Experience in programming or scripting is desirable.
