Autodesk seeks a seasoned Senior Manager specializing in Agile and AI to develop programs and lead a team of agile professionals in delivering strategic initiatives that leverage AI agility to advance Autodesk's goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in agile program management, Agile transformation, AI transformation, exceptional leadership skills, bringing a customer-oriented perspective into all realms of execution and planning, and a passion for contributing to the AI Agility discipline within the organization. Occasional onsite presence will be required.
They will develop and execute multi-year strategic plans that require cross-organizational collaboration and alignment, ensuring cohesive and sustained growth across all business units and functions.
Position Overview
The Senior Agile Leader provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for teams of experienced professionals, typically seasoned Agile Coaches. Operating with significant autonomy, this leader shapes organizational strategies, develops long-range operational plans, and drives transformative initiatives that influence critical business priorities across multiple groups.
In addition to leading agility, this role plays a pivotal part in coaching leaders and teams to adapt agile practices for an AI-enabled world—helping the organization rethink how strategy, planning, execution, and learning happen in an era of accelerated clock speeds and intelligent systems.
Acting as both strategist and coach, this leader partners with all levels, product and engineering leadership, and cross-functional teams to optimize organizational agility mindset in the context of an organization leveraging and adopting AI tools and approaches, and develops internal capabilities that enable sustainable ai agility.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Manage and develop professional teams of AI Agility coaches
- Operate with high autonomy, receiving strategic guidance from Director+ leadership but minimal day-to-day oversight.
- Develop and implement long-term operational plans that integrate financial, organizational, and strategic components.
- Contribute to broader strategies within the leader’s discipline, influencing both functional and cross-functional priorities.
Agility & AI Transformation Coaching
- Serve as the organization’s senior coach for AI-augmented agility, helping leaders and teams integrate AI tools, agents, and workflows into agile practices.
- Guide executives in evolving operating models, governance, and ways of working to leverage AI for faster value delivery and smarter decision-making.
- Coach teams on adapting agile frameworks, cadences, and collaboration models to fit AI-driven development and continuous learning environments.
- Partner with technology and business leaders to ensure agile practices remain adaptive and relevant as AI reshapes strategy, roles, and workflows.
Innovation & Problem Solving
- Define or significantly adapt approaches in areas where procedures are not yet established.
- Lead work on significant, unique, and critical issues impacting high-visibility priorities across the organization.
- Apply expert-level knowledge to develop resolutions to complex problems and broad design matters in creative and effective ways.
Influence & Network Building
- Build and leverage formal networks, ensuring coordination among multiple groups and stakeholders.
- Provide input to enterprise strategies and lead their implementation within the relevant domain.
- Shape organizational thinking, gaining acceptance and alignment across senior stakeholders on new ideas, strategies, and policies.
Governance & Policy
- Establish objectives, delegate assignments, and oversee execution to achieve organizational goals.
- Recommend changes to policies and practices to improve effectiveness and agility.
- Determine methods and strategies to achieve results, including directing others and aligning efforts across teams.
Program Management & Execution
- Oversee the planning and execution of complex technical and AI agility programs, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Align organizational goals and AI agility programs to drive cross-departmental collaboration and impact.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve critical issues, and communicate transparently with executives and stakeholders.
- Champion continuous improvement—implementing best practices, optimizing workflows, and building organizational AI agility capability.
- Simplify complex AI concepts to enable clear, informed decision-making across functions.
- Monitor key metrics and provide regular program updates across organizational levels.
Qualifications
- Deep expertise in agile practices, frameworks, and modern operating models at scale.
- Proven leadership experience managing professional teams in complex, matrixed organizations.

- Experience coaching leaders and teams in AI-enabled agility or agentic workflows.
- Previous commercial exposure to AI concepts or AI-driven product development preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and build trust at all levels.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, PowerBI, Tableau, etc), source control (e.g., GitHub), and ticketing systems.
