About the team and the role:
The OneExperience Brand Team brings eBay’s brand to life through consistent, thoughtful, and expressive design. We partner across product and marketing teams to create a unified brand system that’s flexible, inclusive, and built for the future.
As a Sr. Staff Brand Designer, you’ll play a key role in evolving our global design system. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to shape how eBay looks and feels across every touchpoint—from digital experiences to brand guidelines. You’ll contribute directly to core design work while helping guide strategic direction.
This is a hands-on, collaborative role where you'll grow your leadership skills, mentor other designers, and explore new ways to expand the brand. You’ll help create scalable, human-centered solutions that support consistency, creativity, and clarity.
What you will accomplish:
- Contribute to the evolution of eBay’s brand system, building on existing foundations to support new experiences
- Create and refine core brand elements, such as typography, layout, iconography, illustration, and color
- Collaborate with product, marketing and design systems teams to ensure consistent implementation
- Shape brand documentation and tools to make brand adoption easier across teams
- Translate brand goals into visual systems that are adaptable, inclusive, and easy to use
- Work directly on high-impact design projects with attention to craft and accessibility
- Provide thoughtful feedback during design critiques and help foster a culture of inclusion and shared learning
- Mentor other designers by sharing best practices and offering guidance on visual execution
What you will bring:
- 10+ years of professional design experience, including visual, brand, or product design
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong visual storytelling, attention to detail, and systems thinking
- Expertise with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, presentation platforms, as well as using AI or emerging tools in your creative process is a must have for the role
- Experience evolving and applying design systems across multiple platforms and touchpoints
- Enthusiasm for mentoring others and helping teammates grow their skills
- Interest in accessibility, inclusive design, and building experiences that work for everyone
Bonus Skills:
- Familiarity with motion, 3D, or sonic branding
- Experience contributing to or partnering with design systems teams
- Experience with AI generated design
- Background in ecommerce, global platforms, or customer-centered product design
