Job Summary

As an Operational SG&A Staff Accountant, you will be crucial in accurately recording, analyzing, and reporting Selling, General & Administrative (SG&A) expenses. This role supports month-end close activities, ensures GAAP compliance, assists with process improvements, and collaborates with business units to streamline financial reporting. It requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, SOX-compliant environment and enjoys cross-functional teamwork.

Must Have

  • Prepare and record journal entries related to SG&A expenses (e.g., software subscriptions, facilities, consulting fees).
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Assist in preparing internal reports and analysis for management and external auditors.
  • Monitor and analyze SG&A expense fluctuations through variance analysis.
  • Partner with department leaders to provide financial insights and improve expense tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls (SOX).
  • Support external audits and quarterly SEC reporting needs as applicable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (preferably at a US GAAP publicly traded company).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite), Excel/Google Sheets, and Alteryx.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.

Salary: $50,925.00 - $67,900.00 + bonus
