Nissan is seeking a Stamping Current Model Engineering Intern for a full-time role at the Smyrna Assembly Plant. This internship offers the opportunity to shape the future of mobility by assisting in the planning and execution of manufacturing engineering projects. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing processes, identifying improvements, developing and implementing solutions, conducting research, preparing reports, and supporting daily engineering tasks to optimize manufacturing operations and drive innovation.
Good To Have:
  • Mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering degree preferred
  • AutoCAD skills
Must Have:
  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Engineering or Industrial Technology
  • Candidate should have Microsoft Office skills
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Strong people skills
  • Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and ability to multi-task with day-to-day priorities
  • Great communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to perform work onsite in Smyrna, TN M-F

We’re currently looking for a Stamping Current Model Engineering Intern to join our team. The position will be at the Smyrna Assembly Plant and will be a full-time role.

A Day in the Life:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of a designated manufacturing engineering project(s). These projects are based on need by shop within the plant and change on a year-to-year basis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, analyze processes, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of solutions to optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct research and provide recommendations based on findings to support project goals.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project progress and results to stakeholders.
  • Support the team in daily engineering tasks and contribute to ongoing initiatives.

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Engineering or Industrial Technology. Mechanical (preferred), industrial, or electrical engineering.
  • Candidate should have Microsoft Office skills. AutoCAD skills are a plus.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Strong people skills
  • Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
