Job Description

Varonis, a leader in data security, is seeking a Strategic Evangelist to join their team. This role involves working closely with the Senior VP of Strategic Programs to plan, prepare, and present technical content for strategic customers and events. The ideal candidate is a technical content creator who can define their role in a hyper-growth environment, takes initiative, and collaborates effectively. This position is remote and requires extensive experience in the industry, security/IT management, executive interfacing, and creating complex technical content.
Good To Have:
  • Experience as a Sales Engineer and/or Product Manager
  • Domain expertise and experience in promoting enterprise software solutions
  • IT security experience
  • Network and cloud security experience
Must Have:
  • Act as a subject matter expert on information security and cloud technology
  • Interface with customers, sales, marketing, and product management
  • Stay up to date with technology, competitive, and cybersecurity trends
  • Develop new messaging based on feedback and experience
  • Create prospect and customer-facing written and PowerPoint content
  • Create persuasive business justification/value review materials
  • Create content in various formats including video, audio, in-person, and written
  • Present at in-person conferences and end-user events
  • Provide onsite and remote sales support
  • Educate technical and non-technical sales staff
  • Minimum of 15 years relevant industry experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Security/IT management within IT/cloud infrastructure
  • At least 2 years of experience interfacing regularly with executives
  • At least 3 years of experience creating and presenting complex technical content

The Role: We are seeking a Technical Content Creator that will work closely with the Senior VP of Strategic Programs to plan, prepare, and present technical content for strategic customers and events. The right candidate will be able to help define their own role within a hyper-growth environment and put on the right hats at the right time. You don’t mind clear direction; you don’t mind figuring it out for yourself and you know when you should ask for guidance. You favor mistakes over inaction. You start and iterate. You lead when necessary and play well with others.

The Location: We are considering candidates who are able to work by remote model.

The Requirements:

  • Minimum of 15 years relevant industry experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Security/IT management within IT/cloud infrastructure
  • At least 2 year of experience interfacing regularly with executives
  • At least 3 years of experience creating and presenting complex technical content,
  • Experience as a Sales Engineer and/or Product Manager is advantageous.
  • Domain expertise and experience in promoting enterprise software solutions; IT security would be a plus, with network and cloud security experience especially advantageous.
  • Dynamic, entertaining, interesting, compelling and clear technical presenter, speaker, writer, and content creator.
  • Strong ability to explain and translate technical concepts into business values and benefits.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, cloud architecture, IT infrastructure, and networking
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Passion for technology and an eagerness to learn and share knowledge with others.

The Responsibilities:
