Job Summary

Autodesk is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing and vendor management activities for assigned vendors and projects across multiple categories including HR, Professional Services, Marketing, and Technology. This role involves reviewing data for cost savings, developing and implementing category and sourcing strategies, driving the RFx process, and leading negotiations. The successful candidate will join a new, global team focused on growth and innovation, building strong partnerships and driving impactful change across Autodesk’s sourcing operations.

Must Have

  • Review and analyze data to determine cost savings opportunities

  • 7+ years' experience focused on Strategic Sourcing and Category Management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • BA or equivalent experience

A bit more about the Role and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Review and analyze data to determine cost savings opportunities through vendor consolidation and/or contract renegotiations
  • Develop and implement category and sourcing strategies by collaborating with stakeholders and incorporating a thorough understanding of the business requirements, the departmental strategies and relevant market trends
  • Drive the RFx process from start to finish, including requirements gathering, identifying potential respondents, identifying go/no go criteria, scorecards with criteria and weighting, bidder's conferences, negotiation and contracting
  • Lead negotiations for master agreements and statements of work - serve as a liaison between business and legal
  • Help identify areas of risk for the business and make recommendations where applicable
  • Provide business with approved sourcing tools, processes, and knowledge to qualify vendors and manage vendor relationships
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal customers / clients as well as vendors
  • Ability to shine under pressure while dealing with changing priorities and timelines
  • Ability to clearly demonstrate subject matter expertise in sourcing initiatives to stakeholders

Leadership/Management Skills

  • Experience building and maintaining (partnering) effective working relationship with assigned business area
  • Highly effective interpersonal and influencing skills necessary to obtain continued support from internal clients
  • Highly developed business and communications skills necessary to successfully represent Autodesk in dealings with third parties

Education and Experience

  • 7+ years' experience focused on Strategic Sourcing and Category Management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • BA or equivalent experience
  • Strong negotiation/influencing and presentation skills.
  • Procurement specific qualification a plus
