Strategy & Operations Intern (m/f/d) - Climate FinTech (Berlin)

As a Climate FinTech, we are convinced that capital is the key to accelerating the energy transition. The challenge we face is enormous: By 2050, 150 trillion Euros (!) must be invested worldwide to achieve climate neutrality. 65% of these investments must be financed by loans.

Our mission is to direct capital into the sustainable economy to accelerate transformation and make the world greener.

What we do:

We work closely with installers of Climate Hardware such as energy storage, solar systems, and heat pumps – and enable their customers to conveniently finance their systems in installments. Our platform provides the technical and financial basis for this. This is how we concretely accelerate the energy transition – for households, for partner companies, for the planet.

We have just secured financing commitments of 500 million Euros to make 25,000 households greener in the next two years. Previously, several renowned VCs invested in us in a Pre-Seed round - since then, we have been developing at a high pace.

As a Strategy & Operations Intern, you will work at the interface between growth, customer orientation, and operational excellence. You will take responsibility in a dynamic growth environment and support in scaling processes, optimizing sales-relevant workflows, and shaping strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Sales and Distribution Support: Collaborate in structuring and optimizing sales-relevant processes along the customer journey and acquiring new customers and/or new partner companies.
• Customer/Partner Support: Support our partner companies and/or end customers via phone, email, and live chat.
• Operational Process Optimization: Analyze and further develop existing processes in Strategy & Operations with a focus on efficiency and scalability.
• Ad-hoc Analyses and Operational Support: Process ongoing issues related to partner communication, offer processes, and implementation of our growth strategy.

Qualifications

• You are very interested in climate protection and sustainability and want to learn more and make a difference.
• You are in an advanced stage of a business or natural science degree or have successfully completed one. Comparable fields of study with an analytical or strategic focus are also welcome.
• You bring initial practical experience, for example through internships or volunteer work.
• You work in a structured, very meticulous way and take a high degree of personal responsibility.
• You are proficient with common tools like Excel and ideally have already gained experience with digital work environments.
• You communicate clearly, professionally, and appropriately for the audience and enjoy delving into complex topics.
• You have very good German language skills at C2 level as well as fluent English skills in spoken and written and have three to six months to support us on-site in Berlin.

Your anticipated application process:

1. Short introductory call (15 min)

A first brief getting-to-know-you, where we jointly check if it's a general fit.

2. Technical interview with Bernadette (Head of CS)

You will speak directly with Bernadette about your background and central topics around customer orientation, processes, and operational implementation.

3. Take-Home Case Study + Review with Bernadette

You will receive a practical take-home task, which you will then discuss in detail with Jakob.

4. Final interview with Marius and/or Jakob (Founder)

Finally, you will meet Marius and/or Jakob, gain insights into our vision – and we will jointly see if it's also a personal match.
