Job Description

Valeo is seeking a System Engineer in Tokyo to act as a key communication point between the customer and Valeo divisions. Responsibilities include enhancing customer awareness, ensuring deliverables meet requirements, performing first-level problem analysis, speeding up issue reporting, and supporting project teams with alignment of milestones and terminology. The role involves maintaining dialogue with customers and providing detailed organizational information to divisions.
Must Have:
  • Maintain a permanent dialogue with staff at the customer site.
  • Participate in periodic briefing meetings.
  • Periodically distribute briefing notes to the counterparts (internally and the customer).
  • Serve as key point of communication for the customer to ensure deliverables vs requirements.
  • Characterize the problem, doing first level analysis and send it to concerned team members.
  • Speed up the issue reporting process.
  • React quickly when customers’ contacts become dissatisfied and send information to Valeo.
  • Serve as the point of access for customer contacts seeking information or a contact at Valeo.
  • Provide the Divisions with detailed information about the customer's organization and operating methods.
  • Define and communicate to Customer and internally back-up Valeo contacts when not available.
  • Support Divisions in case of language issue with the Customer.
  • Identify Valeo products involved in the new projects, including both new and carryover components & systems.
  • Support Project Teams with alignment of Customer Project Milestones, Deliverables, and Terminology.
  • Inform the customer of correct conditions of deliverables.

  • Informing the customer of correct conditions of deliverables.
