System Engineer for Model-Based Development IDE

Randstad Digital is seeking a System Engineer for Model-Based Development IDE for a leading multinational technology company. This company is a global leader in telecommunications, enterprise solutions, and consumer electronics, with a Research Center in Pisa focusing on digital power and electric vehicles. The role involves expanding the team dedicated to developing next-generation Model-Based Design (MBD) tools, including code generation, optimization, simulation, and AI integration. The position is full-time, on-site in Pisa, Italy, with a permanent contract.

Must Have

• Design and develop tools for simulation, code generation, and optimization
• Actively contribute to the development of proprietary Model-Based Design tools
• Experience in object-oriented programming (3-5 years)
• Excellent Java programming skills
• Good Python programming skills
• Expertise in Model-Driven Engineering (MDE)
• Experience in building efficient AI infrastructures and improving AI models
• Experience with AI frameworks (e.g., Tensorflow, CUDA, Pytorch, Mindspore)
• Experience with Large-Language Models (LLM)
• Experience integrating AI technologies into products
• Experience in defining and executing unit tests and test automation scripts
• M.Sc in Engineering

The Position: System Engineer for Model-Based Development IDE

We are looking for an expert to expand the team dedicated to developing next-generation Model-Based Design (MBD) tools.

Location: Pisa, Italy, on-site.

Contract: Permanent contract – via Randstad Italia SpA.

Salary: Approx. from €60,000 to €80.000 gross/year (commensurate with experience).

Language requirement: Proficiency in English is essential.

Key Responsibilities

In the role of System Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of tools for simulation, code generation, and optimization for the Center's areas of expertise. You will join a dynamic and highly collaborative team, made up of experts and PhDs, who are passionate about research projects and innovative solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Education: M.Sc in Engineering. PhD preferred.
• Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in object-oriented programming.
• Programming Language Skills:
• Java (excellent level)
• Python (good level)
• Model-Driven Engineering: Experience and expertise in Model-Driven Engineering (MDE), including model-to-text, text-to-model, or model-to-model transformations.
• Artificial Intelligence (AI):
• Experience in building efficient AI infrastructures and improving the efficiency of AI models.
• Experience with AI frameworks (e.g., Tensorflow, CUDA, Pytorch, Mindspore), Large-Language Models (LLM), and integrating AI technologies into products.
• Testing: Experience in defining and executing unit tests and test automation scripts.

Education

• Masters or equivalent
