Within the Tactical Vehicles and Systems activity, the La Ferté Saint Aubin site specializes in the production of land and airborne weapon systems, force protection systems, and zone control. With 450 employees, the site ensures R&D, production, testing, and support functions for high-performance systems. Thales, with DIEHL, formed JUNGHANS T2M, a Joint-Venture in ammunition fuses. As a System Engineer, you will analyze client needs, formalize specifications and architecture, prepare and conduct integration, verification, and validation tests, define test plans, ensure technical integration, design command and control system architecture, and demonstrate solutions to clients.
Must have:
  • Hold a Master 2 (BAC +5) from an Engineering school or a university degree in computer science
  • Proven experience in software and/or hardware, systems engineering, and IVVQ activities
  • Desire to continuously update expertise and design innovative solutions
  • Desire to strengthen expertise in design, requirements management, development, testing, integration, or validation
  • Desire to solve complex problems in a stimulating environment
  • Analyze and understand client needs through advanced studies, simulations, models, prototypes
  • Formalize specifications and architecture to propose the best solution
  • Prepare and perform integration, verification, and validation tests
  • Define test plans and procedures for system-level tests
  • Ensure technical integration and consistency of system design, interfaces, and performance
  • Design the architecture of the command and control system

Within the Tactical Vehicles and Systems activity, the La Ferté Saint Aubin site specializes in the production of land and airborne weapon systems (mortars, ammunition, rockets, etc.), force protection systems, and zone control. With its 450 employees, including engineers, technicians, and specialized workers, the La Ferté Saint Aubin site ensures research and development, production, testing, and all "support" functions necessary for the design of high-performance systems essential for the success of operational missions. Thales, with the German defense group DIEHL, has formed a Joint-Venture "JUNGHANS T2M" with 165 employees, allowing both companies to combine their expertise in electronics and precision mechanics and thus become one of the world leaders in the field of ammunition fuses. This Joint-Venture is also present on the La Ferté Saint Aubin site.

WHO ARE YOU?

PROFILE:

  • You hold a Master 2 (BAC +5) from an Engineering school or a university degree in computer science
  • You have proven experience in software and/or hardware, systems engineering, and IVVQ activities
  • You wish to continuously update your expertise and design innovative solutions to meet your clients' needs
  • You wish to strengthen your expertise in one of the following areas: design, requirements management, development, testing, integration, or validation
  • You wish to solve complex problems and be immersed in a stimulating environment

SKILLS:

  • You can quickly understand the system you are working in (key actors, interactions, products, environment...)
  • You know what the "design-to-cost" approach means
  • You are able to adapt and react to change
  • You are familiar with management and engineering tools such as DOORS, Polarion, TFS, JIRA
  • You are familiar with network configuration and administration
  • You have experience in leading projects or engineering activities

WHAT WE CAN DO TOGETHER:

As a "System Engineering Role" at Thales, you will be responsible for:
