Job Summary
As a Facilities Tool Install Technologist at Micron, you will be directly involved in manufacturing tool installation and maintenance activities. This includes coordinating with contractors, executing equipment hookups, performing utilities turn-on, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental procedures. You will proactively identify opportunities for improvement and troubleshoot cleanroom systems, contributing to innovation in memory and storage solutions.
Must Have
- Coordinate with all tool-install contractors to execute equipment hookup for new, conversion, unhooking and relocation tools
- Coordinate with Fab equipment owner to facilitate utilities release as per planned schedule, and update tool release status timely
- Follow all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with EHS related regulations, risk assessment, safe work procedures and permit to work system
- Perform utilities turn-on after installation completion
- Perform test and balancing of Exhaust for manufacturing tools whenever necessary
- Perform measurement of utilities for tool consumption
- Use methods to organize, calculate, and display data accurately for utilities tracking and flowrate measurement
- Perform site activities in accordance to Facilities Discipline
- Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical engineering or equivalent
- Semiconductor experience

As the Facilities Tool Install Technologist, you are directly involved in Manufacturing tool install activities and routine/non-routine maintenance activities pertaining to the process tools, as well as cleanroom preventive/corrective maintenance program. You would need to work proactively to coordinate with contractor on the ground for the execution and take corrective and preventive actions of lesson learnt due diligently to prevent reoccurrence. You are responsible to perform utilities turn-on after installation is completed. You would need to perform the activities in accordance to site procedure and safety policies established, to ensure all tool-install related activities are completed meeting safety, quality, schedule and budget requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with all tool-install contractors to execute equipment hookup for new, conversion, unhooking and relocation tools, to meet high quality standard, dynamic schedule and forecasted budget
- Coordinate with Fab equipment owner to facilitate utilities release as per planned schedule, and update tool release status timely
- Follow all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with EHS related regulations, risk assessment, safe work procedures and permit to work system
- Play an active role in safety, actively participating in safety discussion, training and safe work practices
- Establish regular area walks to identify opportunities for improved safety, cleanliness, housekeeping and efficiency
- Establish regular, working interaction with peers as well as vendor involved in tool installation communicating clearly and respectfully all relevant information
- Keep Supervisor informed regarding progress of assigned work as well as any abnormalities observed in your area
- Demonstrate ability to understand drawing and highlighting discrepancies
- Follow area-specific procedures and documentation
- Prioritize work tasks to meet schedule and expectation with minimum guidance
- Perform tool related utilities and cleanroom systems troubleshooting
- To perform utilities turn-on after installation completion

Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical engineering or equivalent
- Semiconductor experience
- Facilities field or Wafer Fab Manufacturing equipment background will be an advantage
