As a Technical Consultant in Cardiology Informatics, you will work on cutting-edge Healthcare IT solutions. Your main focus will be Cardiology Informatics. You will be part of a team delivering advanced Medical Informatics solutions to hospitals. Your role includes implementing technical solutions, setting up and supporting HL7 integrations, assisting with technical direction, developing and maintaining implementation best practices, and providing technical support to customers. You will also be responsible for remote system monitoring, data analysis, and participating in an on-call support program.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of IT experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, SQL, Active Directory, Group Policies, and network
  • Experience working in production environments against SLAs
  • Understanding of common security technologies and practices
  • Self-motivated, task-oriented team player
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of HL7 & DICOM protocols
  • Previous experience from hospital environment (PACS & EMRs)
  • VMware, HyperV knowledge

Job Description

Working on the cutting edge of Healthcare IT and technology in a fast growing, dynamic international organization. As the new Technical Consultant – Enterprise Informatics, Benelux, you will be part of a team delivering advanced Medical Informatics solutions to hospitals and your main focus will be Cardiology Informatics. In this role you will have a unique possibility to become a recognized expert and to make an important impact by helping our customers become more successful and knowledgeable. You are a part of The Benelux Healthcare Sales and Service organization with around 400 employees. A highly skilled, dynamic and motivated team working within both service and delivery. A team that delivers solutions aimed to enhance the patient and clinician experience across the continuum of care, through collaboration and understanding the customer's needs.

Your role:

Implementation services:  

  • The technical implementation process, from installation, configuration, testing, go-live and handover to the support department. 

  • Setting up, implement and support HL7 integrations with EMR’s. 

  • Assisting sales and project management in providing technical direction, solutions developed for the customer for technical feasibility. 

  • Developing and maintaining implementation best practices, document procedures, standards, and configuration settings. 

  • Providing technical contact to customers during the implementation phase and owning the customer experience to ensure a successful delivery and installation. 

  • Analyzing and troubleshooting technical problems in the implementation phase and when assigned to service desk duty.

  • Visits to customers in the Benelux region on go live dates.    

Remote Support:  

  • Providing Technical Support to customers as well as supporting internal Philips organizations, dealers, and distributors. 

  • Assessing complex technical and clinical problems, collecting data, establishing facts, defining an action plan, and driving the plan to resolution. 

  • Troubleshooting and maintaining the Philips implemented solutions. 

  • Providing remote system monitoring and performing data analysis. 

  • Implementing approved changes at customer’s site. 

  • Escalating incidents if necessary and tracking these problems until closure. 

  • Supporting Operations management on escalated issues in the communication to customers.

  • Participating in 24/7 on call support program.

 
You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor Degree (BSc): work and think at Bachelor level and preferably have 5 years of experience in IT. Extensive experience in healthcare is an advantage, but experience gained in other sectors can also be a welcome addition to us.

  • Should have knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Windows OS, SQL, Active Directory, Group Policies and network. Knowledge of HL7 & DICOM protocols is nice to have

  • Have experience of working in production environments against SLAs. 

  • Understand Common security technologies and practices. 

  • Have previous experience from hospital environment, including technical skills on Picture Archiving Communication Systems (PACS) and EMR’s. This is a nice addition to have but not compulsory. 

  • Have VMware, HyperV knowledge - is a good to have but not a requirement. 

  • Are self-motivated, task-oriented team player who is persistent in achieving the goals set. 

  • Are highly professional and knowledgeable in your approach to solving customer problems.

  • Have an excellent ability to understand the customers’ requirements and work with the Project team to find the best solution.

  • Have a strong ability to communicate with all levels of customers and liaise effectively with internal and external support functions.

  • Are a flexible team player.

  • Are willing to work outside normal office hours when needed.

  • Have proven documentation skills and ability to produce precise reports as necessary.

  • Are fluent speaking and writing in Dutch, Business level of English and willing to learn French.
