Lambda is seeking a Technical Solutions Enablement Engineer to join their Applied AI Engineering group. This cross-functional role focuses on field and customer enablement, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Sales Enablement teams. The engineer will develop expertise in emerging technologies, act as a subject matter expert for a subset of Lambda's portfolio, and join customer meetings as an overlay specialist. Responsibilities include influencing product direction, advocating for customer needs, developing enablement collateral like reference architecture diagrams and technical presentations, and conducting internal training workshops. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, customer advocacy, and experience in technical writing, training development, or product management.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will develop expertise in our emerging technologies, and partner with teams across the company to ensure that our customers and pre-sales organizations have what they need to be successful. This is a cross-functional role, situated in our Applied AI Engineering group, focused on field and customer enablement in partnership with our Product, Engineering, and Sales Enablement teams.

  • Partner with our Product and Engineering teams to understand and influence the direction of our emerging products.

  • Act as an SME for a subset of our portfolio.

  • Join customer meetings and work with our Solutions Engineers as an overlay/specialist.

  • Act as the voice of the customer and our customer-facing teams and advocate for their needs with our Product and Engineering teams.

  • Develop enablement collateral such as reference architecture diagrams, data sheets, and customer-targeted technical presentations for Solutions Engineering. 

  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement to develop customer and sales facing collateral.

  • Conduct internal training workshops for technical stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain awareness of emerging technologies and trends relevant to your product area.

You 

  • 8+ years total experience.

  • 5+ years pre-sales engineering experience.  

  • Strong sense of customer advocacy and ownership.

  • A skilled communicator able to tailor messaging based on target audience and medium.

  • Experience in one or more of the following: technical writing/documentation, training development and delivery, product (engineering, marketing, or management).

  • Self-directed and able to operate with low supervision in highly dynamic environments. 

  • Able to build and maintain relationships across the organization.

  • Able to drive consensus in complex cross-functional groups.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the Cloud/Hyperscaler space.

  • Experience in customer success and/or support roles is a plus. 

  • Experience using deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.

  • Experience deploying generative AI/ML applications.

  • Experience with LLM training and/or inference architecture.

  • Experience designing, implementing and maintaining large-scale HPC infrastructure in cloud and hybrid environments.

  • Experience working with RESTful API and general service-oriented architecture.

Salary Range Information 

Based on market data and other factors, the anticipated on-target earnings for the role are $214,000 to $333,000 with a 80/20 split. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
