Job Description
The VFX Trainer at FOLKS Mumbai designs, develops, and delivers training programs for new and existing employees, collaborating with leadership and departments to align training with organizational goals and support employee growth. Key responsibilities include identifying training needs, designing technical programs for artistic disciplines and proprietary software, creating documentation, scheduling sessions, tailoring onboarding, assessing trainee progress, and developing junior-level curricula. The role requires staying updated on industry trends and incorporating new training methodologies.
Good To Have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Animation, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, Python, and C/C++.
- Experience with industry-standard 2D and 3D software packages such as Maya, Katana, Nuke, Houdini, 3ds Max, Photoshop, Unreal Engine, and proprietary tools.
Must Have:
- Partner with business leadership to identify and understand training needs.
- Design and deliver technical training programs for various artistic disciplines, including proprietary software applications.
- Create, evaluate, and maintain technical documentation and training materials on the company wiki.
- Collaborate with the Head of Department and supervisors to identify specific technical training requirements for each team.
- Work closely with the Training Coordinator to schedule, organize, and implement training sessions.
- Tailor onboarding and technical training programs to meet the specific needs and goals of each role.
- Monitor and assess trainee progress, providing regular reports to the Learning & Development (L&D) Head of Department.
- Develop curriculum and supporting documentation for junior-level training programs.
- Stay informed on industry trends and technical advancements to ensure training content remains relevant and up-to-date.
- Continuously explore and incorporate the latest training methodologies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in creating training materials for highly technical subjects, making complex concepts accessible.
- Expertise in training various disciplines, with a focus on computer graphics software theory, operation, and application.
- Ability to quickly adapt and learn new tools and technologies to create up-to-date training content.
