Their comprehensive software suite covers rent payments, insurance, leasing, maintenance, marketing, and communication tools, transforming property management worldwide. They are seeking a highly motivated Technical Writer for their Training department at their Lehi, UT headquarters. The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation for over 40 products, working closely with Product Managers to ensure accuracy and timeliness. This role involves translating complex product information into user-friendly content, partnering with internal departments like Product, Development, UX, and Training, leading meetings, adhering to content schedules, and contributing to the overall help center strategy.

If you’re one of the best and brightest, a highly-motivated innovator, a fast worker, and a fierce competitor, you might be just the person we’re looking for! Entrata’s Training department is looking for a Technical Writer based in our Lehi, UT HQ.
As part of the Training Content team, you will be responsible for the technical documentation we provide to our clients to support their learning of our software. This is an essential position in helping stay in front of product knowledge - which spans 40+ different products. You will work with a group of Product Managers to ensure that documentation is updated in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities will include:
- Maintain a deep understanding of Entrata’s products and services in order to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content.
- Write user-friendly “user guides” that meet the needs of the target audience, turning insights into language that sets Entrata’s users up for success.
- Partner with internal departments including Product, Development, UX & Training in order to document software workflows correctly and succinctly.
- Lead meetings with product managers and provide status updates.
- Adhere to strict content audit schedule and new release schedule while meeting sometimes aggressive deadlines.
- Lead meetings with product managers, provide status updates, and drive accountability.
- Coordinate work with others on the Content Team.
- Assist with the overall help center strategy and content management discussions and vision.
- Adhere to documentation style guides and when appropriate make recommendations on how to improve our standards.
- Perform peer reviews for quality, usability, and adherence to established styles while also having a sharp eye for self-evaluation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Communication, English, or other related field
- 1+ years of experience in technical writing
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
- Comfortable working independently and being self-motivated and also part of a team
- High EQ and ability to connect with others easily
- Positive, self-motivated, self-managed, and a finisher
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing
- Proficiency in HTML and use of the Chicago Manual of Style
- Experience in the multi-family industry
- Familiarity with SaaS and agile development
- Comfortable with giving and receiving constructive feedback
- Excellent time management skills
$47,000 - $75,000 a year
This band covers the full salary range for the role. Your offer within this range will depend on factors like experience, skills, and internal equity.

Currently, Entrata hires in Arizona, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Texas, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Illinois for Exempt roles and Arizona, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Texas, North Carolina, and Florida for Non-Exempt roles.
